Celebrating !!! (Cross post)
Today was my 1 year surgiversary! Down 99 lbs and 3 lbs from my goal weight. I have my one year appointment with my surgeon on May 5 and want to lose those 3 lbs. But if not I'm happy with the 99 lbs I have lost. I'm so happy I made the decision to have WLS. It truly has given me back my life. I'm ready to continue my journey of good health. Thank you for the advice and support this past year. My next goal...finish my masters and learning maintenance. And to those of you just starting your journey it's frustrating, scary, exciting, challenging but well worth it. Follow your teams guidelines and stay connected here and you will succeed.
Carpe Diem!

Remember, lots of folks keep losing in their 2nd year. 99 is wonderful but you want to at least loss that one more for a golden apple (100lbs lost) And you can steal mine when it is time.
Now to learn maintenance which is undoubtedly the hardest part of this process and it goes on forever. But you have lots of good examples on here and we will help you though.
For now, just keep on keeping on. Let it happen!

Awesome!!!!! I lost about 6 months after my 2 years so don't start Maintenance too soon. Everyone has bounce back (about 10-15 pounds) so you want to go as low as your body lets you so when you bounce back you will be where you want to be. I gained 13 pounds and then just stopped losing.
Congrats on working on your Masters!!

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!
