WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Yeah Monday! I LOVE the weekends but they wear me out....BUT I'm already counting down to the next one.....LOL!!!!! I only have a 1/2 day because DH is getting his Esophagus stretched. He will be able to eat Roast again....YEAH! I've been so hungry for it and the leftovers will be my lunch all week.

Hi Price,
I wanted to check in with you and see how it is going after you did the 5 day pouch test. I have ordered the book and am going to do it next week after they come in and I have gone to the store and bought the things I need. I need a restart right now.....
I am doing the exercise part just like you do but my eating at night is totally out of control. I can do good all day long but come night time I am like a crazy person.
I just wanted to check in and see how it is going with you now.
Thanks
Linda
I lost 5 lbs in that 5 days but then gained 2 back immediately. I am back to the 5 down now. I think the biggest thing it did for me was remind me that I really don't need to eat so much. 1-1.5c of food is really enough. I was at a point of seeing how much I could eat, not how little. It does break the carb cycle and that is helpful. I had started keeping healthy crackers around and had to stop that. Even if I counted them, I really just can't have that stuff. My carbs these days are a low carb wrap maybe once a week, an apple or grapefruit almost every day and occasional oatmeal. Otherwise, it is green veggies and beans maybe once a week.
nights are hard for me too. We eat supper around 6:30, I have a shake at 9 and that is it. I had been keeping SF chocolate and stopped. One would become two.
I didn't get the book, just used the information that was on line. I'll be interested to know if the book was helpful.

LOL, I was doing payroll at 10:30 last night because I was so busy playing the rest of the time in the daylight. I guess I am blessed to be able to flex my schedule to play with my ponies.

Hi Roz,
I just couldn't make it my 3 hours at work this morning-LOL! I made it 2 1/2 and told them I had to leave. I came home and took a nap. It was a very busy weekend, I don't feel like I sat down much since Friday afternoon. Baked & decorated 90 large cookies, ran a 5K had two meetings at church yesterday 8:30am and 7pm so it was a full weekend. I am leaving in a few minutes to go help decorate the church for a bible school training we are hosting this Saturday.
GOod luck to your DH!
