Smoothie/Meal question

I'm pre-op. I'm not on a weight loss meal plan, just trying to adjust to the right way of eating after surgery. My question is this:  part of my lunch is a light n fit protein smoothie. Should I drink the smoothie an hour after the 2 hard-boiled eggs I had for lunch? It is considered a drink or is it considered food?

for my plan, post op, we counted protein suppliments as a meal, and as a fluid.  But we also had 6-8 "meals" in the beginning.  It is a good idea to learn to eat without drinking so I would have them separately but they can count as both.

I'm consuming a Premier Protein in the afternoons around 3 p.m. which is midway between a noon lunch and 6 p.m. dinner. I'm fairly new and still losing pretty quickly. I count the shake as protein and as liquid. My meals are solid foods (meat, cheese, egg, beans, with a few green leafy veggies if I have room.)
