WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Happy Friday!!!! Well it's Valentines weekend. My sweetheart asked me what I want. We've been married over 40 years and every year I get the same question....lol. Just once I would like to be surprised but then again I'm afraid he would disappoint me. Before WLS I dreamed of a pretty box of candy like I got early in our marriage (which never happened after the honeymoon period) but now I just hope for roses that aren't dying (he isn't so good at this). I think this year I might steer him to the display and let him pick out the color. Isn't Romance wonderful........?

Off early this morning to my 5 yr WLS appointment. They were thrilled with me. I had actually lost a pound since last year this time. All my labs were good but my Ferritin and she gave me a script for that. Drove Teke this afternoon and about froze. 36 with wind. I have to get some kind of hand warmers. My gloves aren't getting the job done.

Yeah, with men you just have to tell them what you want, how you want it and when you want it. That way, nobody gets disappointed or confused. Happy Valentines Day weekend!
