WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Over the hump day!!! Just when we thought DH's heart Dr. got everything figured out his heart starts beating irregular on the top. Back to wearing a monitor and probably another trip to the hospital for another ablation.

Aw Roz, that sucks. Hopefully they will figure it out soon. Heart stuff really scares me. My dad died at 49 with his 3rd heartattack. We know so much more now than we did but it is still scary to me.
Lots of rain this morning. Last week, snow, today rain. I think it will end up being several inches and it is flooding all around me. Happy to be on high ground.

Other than being tired DH is feeling really good (better than he has in the past year). The extra beats aren't near as bad (and scary) as the first ones were. He goes Monday for the Monitor and will have it on 2 days. There are 9 kids in his family and his Dad and 7 kids all had/have heart problems. His dad died in his 80's after open heart surgery and one of his older brothers who had his first heart attack at 33 just died at 79. Over the years he improved just because of all the new findings in the medical field.
Other than a little dusting weeks ago we haven't had any snow yet. It's in the 40's today and looks like it might rain. A few years ago when we didn't have much snow the spring flowers were awful which was sooooo sad.
You're doing awesome with your Protein!!!!

Hi Roz,
Sure hope they get it figured out for your DH soon!!
Rainy day here. Hope it stop by in the morning when I have to travel to the other library for the day.
I finished the Petit Fours today with the glaze, they turned out ok. First batch of glaze was thrown in the garbage can. Did not like it at all. Second batch was much better and is the one I will use.

I was trying to find a picture of our oldest DD's snowflake wedding cake to show you. It was so pretty. Our cake lady finally retired from teaching cake decorating and is finally learning how to do the fondant icing. My girls were disappointed because they wanted it for their wedding cakes but she's baked every one of their cakes since they were little so they settled for regular icing.
Being around icing would be the end of me!!!
Looks like a Good Protein Day!
