WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Happy Tuesday!  1 month from today I had bowel obstruction surgery.  I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow because my bladder has started leaking.  I'm a little concerned.....  We got a lot of snow over night.  PM kindergarten is called off because it's still coming down.  I'm assuming AM Kindergarten is staying all day so they only have to do busing one time.

I got up early and went to muscle pump because I had meetings last night and couldn't go.  I like the morning class, basically the same but the participants are closer to my age, old, lol although I still think I am the oldest.  I just hate having to leave the house at 7:30 to be there on time.

Day 2 of 5 day pouch test.  Yesterday was fine.  I did end up having 2 cups of soup at "supper" one before my meeting early 4:30, one after 8:00.  I was 137 on Sunday, 135 yesterday and this morning.  I may need to add in something else this afternoon, we'll see.  I am surprised and pleased that a cup of soup really is ok for me for quite a while.  I had really gotten into eating pretty much 2 cups at a meal instead of 1 and I really think I can go back to 1 which should help these extra pounds come off.

decaf protein coffee  33g
lemon tea protein  13g
tomato soup with cheese
protein hot chocolate  23g
lemon tea protein  13g
sausage/pumpkin soup
protein shake or hot chocolate  23g

I've been hungry for soup.  I think I might stop at a restaurant and buy some on the way home. DH likes cream of potato but I like vegetable beef.

After the 5 days are over what comes next?

Sounds Good Price!!!

I've already added in another cup of hot protein chocolate.  but that is ok with the plan.

So after day 5, you just keep on keeping on.  You should have decarbed, rested your pouch and be ready to get back to a low carb, high protein way of eating with all the rules, (not eating and drinking at the same time, fluid intake, etc) that we know we should be living by.  My Dr group has us eating 5 small meals a day forever.  Over time, I have just increased my serving size and it is telling on the scale.  For me, at least so far, it has been a wake up call that I really don't need those large servings.  It isn't what I can eat, but what I should eat.

I love soup (good thing) and could eat it every day.
