Sorry to ask stupid question, but what is the 'WLS Lightweights'? Are you members who only have a small amount of weight needed to yet lose? Or those who were smaller than many to begin with? I would fall under both. I had originally been about 100 pounds overweight and now (due to regain) need to lose between 25-30 pounds again :( Looking to find a forum that has more traffic that I can get info and support. Thank you.

Most of us started with around 100lbs to lose.  The group was started years ago because we heard a lot that we weren't big enough for surgery, etc.  But we welcome anyone who likes what goes on here.  We have been called the friendliest board on OH.  There are several of us who are vets, some who are looking at getting some pounds back off.  So stick around, ask questions and join in whenever you want to!!!

Between 35-40 BMI? join us on the Lightweight board.  the Lightweight Board

Thank you! This does sound like the type of board that fits me and what I'm looking for. I'm not looking for any drama about types of one surgery over another or one type of eating plan over others. I think each of us has done what was best for us or at least we thought so at the time of our surgery. And we eat how our Dr. and nutritionist recommend (or we are suppose to anyways). Personally I am suppose to eat food high in protein and under 5 grams of fat and 10 grams of sugar. While my Dr. does not ask that I limit or even count carbs, I know for me personally, I need to keep carbs as low as possible to lose weight. I have fallen off the wagon and need to get back on track for sure. Fingers crossed I can get the motivation to get past the cravings of sugar and carbs again so I can do what is needed. Best of luck to us all :D

I want to say that the Light weight WLS is for people that are overweight, but do not have a ton to lose. I'm a light weight.  My dr. says to lose 60 lbs. I have diabetes that is out of control, and I'm on B/P meds. I'm opting for the sleeve since RNY may make me too thin. I can only hope that it would put my diabetes into remission.
