Menus and Miles Monday Nov. 9th

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

 

DH got home very tired but safe and sound. 

Maintenance 7+ years

Breakfast:

Protein: Matrix Mint Cookie 35g

Snack:   Baby Bell Cheese

Lunch:   Slice of Ham and a few nuts

Snack:   Apple Slices with a little caramel

Snack:  Matrix Mint Cookie 35g

Snack: Nature Valley Almond Crunch Bar--YUM!! (ONLY buy the Gluten Free)

Dinner:  Having Spaghetti

Snack: 3 TB. of unpopped Plain Popcorn (didn't start this until I was on Maintenance)

Life returns to normal with the DHs back home. 

Meetings and billing but I am determined to get to muscle pump this evening.

E: 3 mile hike this morning and additional 2 mile walk with my dog

 

5' 5" tall. VSG on August 4, 2015/ Starting weight 239.9/ Surgery weight 210.9/ Current weight 137.4/ Goal weight 140/ No longer overweight, now a NORMAL weight. Now that I'm at goal, it's time to move on to maintenance!!!!!!!!

Make sure you are getting enough Protein in.  It's hard to do with just food.

Hi Roz,

I know you are glad DH is home.  I am at my parents.  I promised my mom when I retired I would come and help her clean her house and sort through things she has stockpiled over the years.  We almost finished one room today....Not sure we will finish before I have to go home Thursday morning, but at least we will have a good start on it.

I think it's probably best to do it know so she can make the decisions.

We haven't done anything with my Mom's apartment since we took her to the nursing home.  My brother warned us years ago it was his house (she lived above his garage but it was originally where we all grew up).  Mom gave me everything I want so he can get rid of everything as far as I'm concerned.

MENU: (DS Maintenance Mode)
Pre-B - protein coffee w/1/2 & 1/2 (30g)
B - Greek yogurt w/blueberries
S - 1 regular coffee and 1 protein coffee (30g) w/1/2&1/2
S - peanuts
L - protein shake (30g)
S - popcorn
D - chicken stir fry
S - CarbSmart ice cream
Stayed up late watching TV, so here's where it gets bad....
S - more Greek yogurt and peanuts

VITES:
morning batch: done
4 calcium batches: done
iron: done
evening batch: done 
heme iron: done

MILES:
4 - 15 minute walks, 40 leaning push-ups, 40 squats and stretches
standing at the computer all day working
