Sunday Weigh In November 1, 2015
Wow, how did it get to be November already. What happened to summer and now the holidays are upon us.
2 weeks ago 134
this week 134
I was gone last weekend so no reporting but this morning I am back at my 134. Hopefully I will make it through the holidays the same.
I read a good article yesterday on Bariatric Surgery and long term success. It basically said what we who have been around for a while have learned. It makes your tummy smaller. That's it. In the beginning you can lose no matter how bad you screw up. Long term, it does nothing to cure why you got obese in the first place and if you don't fix that, you will end up right back where you started. So the real Halloween, scary message is use this time to fix your head and learn how to eat.

Hi Price,
two weeks ago 142.5
today 141.5 - it was less last week but I didn't post..
that article is so true, also the smaller we are the less our bodies take to keep them running so unless we eat less bad foods or exercise more we will gain weight! Don't think I eat anything like I did before surgery but can gain if I stop walking or eat more calories just because I am smaller and don't need that many calories anymore.
Time is flying, it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas before we know it!
i loved the pictures on FB of you and your horse!

Good for you. It seems like every time I go down a pound from my 134, I go on a trip and go back up, usually much more than 1 pound. It doesn't take long to come back down but I never make any progress keeping it down. I must be eating and exercising for 134, lol.

That article makes sense. So I'm wondering if I should cut out a snack or two even if it is protein.

I know you aren't as old as I am but my Drs like me having a little of extra. They say if we get sick, we can go down really fast if we have no reserve. Maybe I am just making excuses because I would love to be 128 or so. At any rate, I am trying to be smart about eating and letting that make part of my decisions.

Had my 3.5 month follow up with the surgeon this week. All me vitamins and other levels were excellent except very low on iron, so I need additional supplements. Everyone is very pleased with my progress :) Woohoo!

I was away last weekend too. I attended a ladies retreat up in the mountains. It was great. I did succumb to a piece of chocolate cake, but otherwise pretty much stayed on plan. That was hard, they feed you to the point of inducing a food coma at these things.
Two weeks ago: 152 (I think)
This week: 153
Been bouncing between 151-153 for a while now. I'm going to try adding a dance class to my week to see if that helps.
