WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!!! Hope you are having an Awesome Day so far!!

Good morning all!! It's been quite a while since Iâ??ve visited here. I took a permanent part time job the first of September. I'm working Monday thru Thursday, 7.5 hours a day, as a Legal Assistant to two attorneys. Very interesting work but a lot to learn. Both of them do estate planning. It's a great place to work. People are really friendly and helpful. One of the attorneys knows my best friend who works where I retired from plus the attorney's husband is a partner there so he had worked with me. The pay is great and much better than working thru a temp service.
My husband's medical bills were mounting and although he can pay $25 a month, that adds up so I decided I needed to work more hours to get them paid. My retirement income doesn't allow for my quilting habit. J
Still plugging away at chiseling those extra pounds off. Down 5 with 9 to go. The office provides snacks for $.25 and has about everything you could want, but I'm doing great avoiding them. I bring my own healthy snacks. One of my favorites is Dannon Greek Carmel Mochiato for 80 calories.
Today 's eats:
B: Protein Oatmeal Bar (homemade from Bariatric Foodie recipe)
S: Corozonas bar; Click protein drink
L: Chili; 6 saltine crackers; 1 oz. cheese
S: Greek yogurt
D: Protein shake

Great to see you!! I've wondering how your new job was going and how your DH was filling. We had to pay DH's hospital bill that wasn't covered monthly too. I felt very fortunate they were willing to work with us.
That's great you are avoiding the snacks!! You will do great as long as you don't start!! That's where my DD has her downfall. She keeps starting diets but the snacks get her every time she has to work in the office.
I might have to try your favorite yogurt. I throw more of them away than I eat.
Sounds Good!

I know how hard that can be!! You can do this Linda!!!! Good job on the steps too!!!
I had so many people tell me stories of people gaining their weight back that I've always been determined that I won't. I'm so afraid I'd be the one they are talking about next.
Sounds Good Linda!!
