Other Protein Sources
I have been playing around with my settings - just checking to see if the info shows up.

I Love your flowers and butterfly ticker!!
I fulfill my Protein requirements by drinking at least 80 to 100 grams of Protein a day. I ONLY use Good Whey Protein Powder!!! All of the Protein I get from food is just a bonus. I was determined I was not going to count points or exchanges like I did during all of the years I attended WW so if I get my drinks in I don't have to count anything.
I don't eat much Peanut Butter. It tastes good going down but then it kind of upsets my stomach (I think it's the fat).
Fortunately I like meat. I do eat a lot of nuts, jerky, eggs (usually scrambled with 1 egg, eggbeater whites, and diced ham/bacon...YUM), Wendy's Chili, kidney beans, cheese, cheese spreads like Laughing Cow, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, Broccoli, Quinoa, Seeds, sugar snap peas, etc.
I don't know about you but I gained my weight from eating carbs like bread, sweets, rice, pasta etc. They aren't forbidden BUT they will slow down the weight loss and with my RNY it causes me to gain weight on Maintenance.

Roz!!!
I am still in the honeymoon phase and our NUT gave us permission to NOT count calories - in fact she said there was no reason until you were in maintenance. It has been like a vacation - no calories, no little book to write in (although I understand that everyone uses apps now). It's such freedom - not to eat whatever, but just to live like a 'normal' person.
I'm glad to find someone success with a 'free lance' approach. I would like to find a way to make the required life style changes and just live. But if that doesn't work long term for me, I will use a more structured approach - food journaling, ect.

I meant counting my Proteins. With the RNY we usually start at 60 Protein a day and then later on it's whatever number that helps you to maintain. About 125 Protein works for me to Maintain. If I drink my Whey Protein then I don't have to count the Protein I get in food because I have gotten in most of it with my drinks.

I have no idea or care what a complete protein is (lol) BUT I found this: Whey protein is considered a complete protein and contains all 9 essential amino acids and is low in lactose content.
There are a lot of cheap protein powders out there that very have little protein in them.

Thanks - I read a post awhile ago about whey either being good because it is a whole protein or bad because it was not. Thanks for the research - I'll be using it also.

Im just about to hit my 3 months post op. I love veggies, and I'd love to have a list of what perhaps is maybe a good source of protien. I eat alot of greek yogurt, but boy oh boy am I getting tired of that!! I had peanut butter yesterday and tasted good going down, but same problem....It made my tummy hurt later. BTW You guys are the best in making me feel like i'm not alone!!
