Menus and Miles Monday Sept. 14th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
One of our managers got called for jury duty. She didn't get picked so she wasn't there long. She said it was against a Dr. for a WLS that went bad in 2008. I wish she would have gotten picked I would have loved to hear some of the details. I wonder if I would have been turned down or accepted since I had WL surgery. In fact mine was in 2008 too.

I would like to be in the courtroom for that trial. My surgery was in 2008 too. This job is so interesting. My attorneys do estate planning and wills. They are super nice people too.
This morning I wrote out my menu for the day in a little notebook I bought just for that purpose. I'm very busy so not getting the boredom hunger which isn't hunger at all. I brought yogurt and forgot to eat it.
I've used almond milk for a few years to make my shakes. Last week I made one and it tasted just awful. I checked the almond milk to make sure it wasn't spoiled. I made a few more shakes and they also tasted nasty. Saturday I made a shake with skim milk and it was fine. Guess I've developed a dislike for almond milk. My tastes still change a lot. I thought that just happened in the beginning.
Today's eats:
French Toast in a mug
Protein shake; almonds
Lean Cuisine (their new, more healthy one; why do they have to put peppers in everything? probably won't buy any more.)
Nature Valley Almond Crunch
Shepard's Pie w/out the potatoes for me; salad
Protein shake

Hi Roz,
I'm pretty sure they would not pick anyone that had WLS for the jury, or I wouldn't if I were the attorney because most of us have formed our opinions on WLS. Of course, I guess there are doctors out there doing it that might not should be...
I'm heading out in the morning to my parents. I have my six year WLS appointment Thursday afternoon and we are going up to spend a few days with my family.

I've only been on a jury once and it was medical malpractice. No fun and it is amazing how 13 of us could be in the same room and have such different ideas of what happened.
