Some of the best 5 yrs of my life

5 years ago today I had RNY and have never looked back.  I wanted surgery to get my life back, and it worked.  I started over 220 and ended up 111, too low, but bounce back is real and I sit this morning at 134.  RNY cured my high bp, cholesterol, sleep apnea and gerd (although I am still on an acid reducer).  I am still wearing clothes I have now had for years.  My last stress test, they said I performed like they would expect of a healthy 33yr old.  I am 66.  I ride and drive my ponies, garden, do muscle pump, and thoroughly enjoy my life instead of sitting on the side lines.  This is truly the best thing I ever did for myself.

Thanks to the vets who guided me along the way.  I have stuck around because I need you and everyone to stay on track.  Plus I am a great believer in giving back, shining the light so others can follow.  They do surgery on our tummies, not our heads and this is a head trip too.

So everyone have a protein for me and the other vets today and be thankful for what you have been given.  A chance to get your life back.

Congratulations on your 5 years Price!!  You amaze me at how active you stay.  I love looking at pictures of you and your pony.

Keep up the great work.  You are so right about the surgery on your tummy and not your head.  I sure let my head get me into trouble sometimes.

Here's to the next 5 great years...  It sure would be great if we could all meet up one year somewhere.  I feel like I have so many more sisters on here.

Happy Surgiversary Price!  I have to say that you are a very impressive person.  I hear about all that you do and I feel like a slacker.

Your surgery has been very successful because you have worked hard at making it a success.

I look forward to hearing about many more years from you.
