Menus and Miles Sunday Sept. 6th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Well we had a sudden downpour and had to cancel the pictures so we all went out to eat.....big mistake! They forgot to seat us so we got free appetizers and drinks (Pepsi/Mountain dew is the limit for us). We ordered Pretzels with dips and Baked potatoes skins with cheese and bacon. After that I couldn't even order a meal so DH and I shared a piece of fish. Scales are up this morning but I did enjoy the freebies... I'm going to try and concentrate on Protein today!!!
We were suppose to go boating today but DSIL decided he doesn't want to go. Hopefully DD will change his mind.

I wish we would get some of that rain. My pond is a puddle and my pastures and yard have just stopped growing. We only mowed the grass once in August and the grass in the pastures isn't going to support much grazing this winter if we don't get some rain. Plus I hate watering the garden but it will just dry up before it even gets established if I don't.
had a nice drive with Teke around the neighborhood.

Hello all!! I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend. It's really hot here (Kansas City). We could use some rain. I finished a baby quilt I'm giving to a new baby. My SD brought over 3 pairs of slacks to be hemmed. I just wasn't in the mood to do them. Maybe tomorrow.
DH is still having BP problems. It's either too high or too low. Monday, it was 197/123 but his doctor just told him to take his BP med and it might take a few days. Tuesday, his Humana nurse was here and told him to go to the ER. He was in the hospital overnight and the BP seemed better. Friday it was back up and he was dizzy all day.
I have a new permanent part time job that I started last Thursday. It's with a law firm. I'll be assisting 2 attorneys 4 days a week and off on Friday. The pay is way more than with the temp service.
Today's eats:
Pancake Puffs - equivalent to one small pancake
Cheese Stick
Apple, peanut butter
Protein shake
Pork roast, hominy
No PM snack - trying to break that habit
I think I'm a little low on protein and too many carbs. I promise to do better tomorrow.
