Hi I am new to the site and 3 weeks post op. My highest weight was 245. I was 235 pre-op and have lost 19lbs. so far. I just need some encouragement as I start this journey. I already feel like I'm failing but am pushing to stay motivated. Hi Everyone!!!

Hello and welcome!  You are not alone in your feelings.  I didn't feel like I was doing things right until about 6 weeks post op.  I would either get most of my water, or get most of my protein, but never both together.... until about 6 weeks post op.  Then it wasn't every day, but eventually it started to happen.  Just keep trying every day, making protein and fluids your primary goal. :)  This thread is very friendly and knowledgeable!  They will answer any questions and give great advice! :)

Good luck on your journey and you have done great so far!!

sounds like you are doing super.  It is hard in the beginning, everything from eating to what is right, when, how much, will I ever feel normal again, what the heck did I do to myself?

stick around.  Ask questions.  read.  work on following your plan, getting your fluid and protein in, take your vits and mins and you will be fine.

Looking forward to hearing more about your journey!!!

Welcome to our LW Board and Congrats on your surgery!!!  It sounds like you are doing good on the scales!!  Don't get frustrated it does take a month or so to figure out whats the best way for you.  We are here to answer any questions you might have and give you suggestions on what might help.

What type of WLS did you have?  If you have time could you put it in your signature line or at the top of your post like some of the others have it.
