What's going on?

Bonroxie, thank you. I thought maybe it was a stall but my weekly measurements haven't changed either and the times I knew it was a stall I went down in my measurements. Also I heard a lot about different time period stalls and I hadn't heard of a 5 month stall I just got nervous. Thank you so much for the reassurance.

I really slowed down about where you are now but then kept losing for months til I got way under my goal. I think you need to up your protein. I was close to 120-150 during that time.
For exercise, studies have shown that short periods over the day are as good and some long period. Maybe with your disability, short walks or exercise would work better.

Price,
Thank you for your response! I had actually thought about upping my protein I was just scared to up my calories. I think I will give it a shot and see if maybe I can get something going. I had also heard that several short exercise periods were good for you so that looks like something I need to work on more. I have started adding squats with my band exercises but I just never feel like I'm doing enough. when I go for my hour walk though boy is that a workout I feel I can be proud of and I love when the lady (I use a program on my phone) tells me that I have walked one mile in 19 minutes so then I try to speed up and beat it the next mile and I love it, that's what really sucks with my body not allowing me to do it. They say find something you like well I love talking to my family and I love walking so an evening walk to catch up on our days was perfect, now I need to find a way to switch it up a bit. Once again, thank you so much for your reply and congrats on your weight loss! I hope I will be able to get one of those gold apples one day!!! :D

Like others have said, you are probably just at a stall and your body is playing catch-up, trying to figure out what is going on. :) I am frustrated with my weight loss the past few months. After a couple months of losing less, I was really frustrated and started letting carbs creep their way back in. I am back on track now, and seeing the scale move again. Just stick to the plan and it will work. You're doing great!

Thanks Elizabeth!
I see you had a lapband first before going to the sleeve. I also had a lapband, it erroded into my stomach, had it removed but 3 infections set in, 1 in my stomach cavity and two in two of my incisions. I had to wait a year for total healing before my doctor would consider doing RNY on me, I gained ALL my weight back the exact amount I had lost! I think this is why I am so nervous with me not losing right now. Well, I will just take the advise from the lovely folks on this board and see what happens. I will be thankful for every pound lost and if my body is done well at least I am currently smaller than I was after I had my lapband. :) Anyways, Thank You for your response and good luck with your weight loss!!

I started with promier protein shakes, then I found Sytrax Matrix protein powder. I'm not sure if you've tried it, but it is the only powder I have found that I like. I get mine from www.mybariatricpantry.com They ship fast and their prices are good. Shipping is $6.99 flat rate or free if you spend over $99. You can buy a Matrix sample pack for $18.99. It comes with 1 individual serving of all 9 flavors. My favorite is peanut butter cookie, followed by mint cookie. My boyfriends favorite is bananas & cream.
I have a shake every morning and I actually do 1 1 /2 scoops to up my protein (makes it 34.5 grams per shake). If my protein Is low for the day, I may have another in the evening.
Increasing your protein should help get you losing again. :)

Elizabeth,
How many calories, carbs and sugar are in your drinks? do you add it to milk or water? My doc was very particular at which shakes they wanted us on and the premier was their # 1 choice since the amount of cal/protein/carbs/sugars were within what they wanted us to get. But as a snack a different flavor would be nice every now and again and those flavors you just gave sound wonderful!!
Melissa
1 scoop of the Peanut Butter Cookie has:
calories 150
protein 23
carbs 6
sugar 3
fat 3
Some mix it with water, and I have as well. It does taste good that way, but to get more protein I mix mine with carbmaster milk. It is made by Kroger and only sold at Kroger it has
calories 60
protein 11
carbs 3
sugar 3
fat 0
When I make mine, I use 1 1/2 scoops and 8 oz of carbmaster milk. Making my totals
calories 285
protein 45.5
carbs 12
fat 4.5
This is my breakfast and morning snack. I don't usually have anything else until lunch. Some of the other flavors have even less sugar, carbs and calories.... this one has the most. The website has their nutritional information listed under each product. :)

Thank You! I have started adding a protein Power PK pudding to my Premier shake and the calories are about 25 less than what your drinking. But the rest of it is very similar, I also drink half for breakfast and half for my morning snack without eating anything else until Lunch. Again thank You for your response. I will have to check into the different flavors, it would be nice to have a little change in taste. :)

How Gentle is this........? If you are not eating carbs, getting your "Good" Protein in and haven't reached the bottom of your Normal BMI you are Not DONE losing!! I lost for over 2 years but it does slow down on a monthly basis.
Unless they were a super LW and self paid I've never heard of any one reaching goal and ready for Maintenance at 6 months. I did start slowing down every month the closer I got to "MY" desired goal weight. I think that was probably between 6-8 months. At 8 months I increased my Whey Protein drinks and immediately started losing again. The extra Whey also brought my calories up to 1000.
I actually lost another 19 lbs before I stopped losing. Once I started Maintenance I gained a few pounds slowly have maintained in the the middle of my BMI.
If you aren't ready to increase your calories You can also try adding some good Protein for 2 or 3 days and then drop it back down. That might jump start your losing again.
