Menus and Miles Monday Aug. 24th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Afternnon LW's!!!

Hi Roz,
Just got back from having my dexa scan - shows I have Osteopenia so I'll wait and see what the doctor says. I have to send this to my WLS surgeon because he wanted the results before my September appointment with him.

Yesterday was a bad day. Our Little Willie got bit by another dog in two places. Al was walking him and the dog got him. He is ok, just acts real sore and we are having to clean it good with peroxide and Bactrim. We live in the City and all dogs are suppose to be a leash but nobody much does this-we do because we don't want him to run off. I went and talked to the owners of the dog and she was very nice and said she would not let her dog out lose anymore and offered to pay if we had to take him to the vet.
Linda
Aw, poor little Willie. Our vet has recommended baby asprine in the past for our little dogs and it did seem to help with soreness. I hope he is better soon. When Thor was attacked by whatever (we think a cayote) it made him so afraid we couldn't take him out much anymore.

I sure wish my Surgeon was still around. He left right after my WLS and when I called the office recently about my low B12 etc. I found out the whole office closed now and moved to Pittsburgh. I don't think any of the same employees are still there. My PCP is really good about letting me get whatever tests I ask him for but it would be nice to have someone who knows more about WLS and checks me out.
Sounds Good (except cookie....you are soooo honest...haha).
