So Glad you joined us Sarah!!

I'm almost 7 years out with my RNY.  My DH (darling hubby) and DD (darling daughter) were totally against me having WLS.  My other 2 DD's were excited for me.  I realized after a few months that they were scared that something might happen to me. 

I had a family meeting with them all and explained that no matter how they felt I had made the decision to have the surgery. I told them that if anything happened to me that it was totally my fault and they would have nothing to feel guilty about.  After that they both pretty much excepted it.  I even got my DH to go to a informational meeting with me.  For awhile after the surgery DH still worried and when my weight got really low he wanted me to start eating more so I did increase my intake which I still regret to this day.

We've had a few posters who went to Mexico to have their WLS but I can't remember who they were.  I think there is a Surgeon post or a Mexico post on OH.
