Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this:  I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up.   It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Over the Hump Day!  I brought a peach to work this morning and before I even got my lunch put away a clients little boy grabbed the peach off of my desk and squashed it....LOL.   There wasn't much of a mess in my office but he was a sticky mess.....

It's cloudy and rainy today.  DH came home last night!!  His nurse didn't think he needed to go to rehab and the doctors concurred.  He is doing really well and will have home help come in 3 times a week.  The pets are so happy to have him home.

I have to admit the 4 shakes and one meal a day is not going well.  Two shakes a day I can do but 4.....too much.  I know I did nothing but shakes for 2 weeks pre-op and I made it but the situation was different.  I was afraid if I cheated, they wouldn't do the surgery.  I'm fine with focusing on protein but the shakes just turn me off.

Breakfast:  Protein shake

Lunch:  1/2 oz. turkey jerky

Snack:  Protein shake

Dinner:  Pork chop; salad

So Glad your DH got to come home!  No more tiring days at the hospital and terrible hospital food.

Maybe you need to find a Protein Shake that you really like. I love my Matrix Mint Cookie.  I don't drink it more than once a day because it's kind of sweet but I sometimes would really like another one.  I also like the Syntrax Lemon Tea with different flavors in it.  When I had them every day  I actually craved them.  I'm not able to have it right now because it riles up my IC but as soon as I get some cramp free weeks I'm going to give it another try.

Well at least stick with Protein foods.  Turkey Jerky is a good one.  I've also found that I do much better if I do numerous small Protein meals.  The other thing I noticed is that I gain wait when I eat a lot of salads.  I don't know if it's the dressing (which is diet) or the toppings (kidney beans, cheese, beets etc.)

If your menu is an indication of what you ate all day I said you are just not eating enough to burn calories all day.

I hope you share pictures!!  Text me some!!

That sounds relaxing.  It is covered.  We didn't have to replace the roof so we that was jacked up through the replacement of the rest. Living on the highest hill in our county we usually always have a nice breeze so no need for a fan.

Your Peppers sound wonderful!! Maybe that's what I will have for dinner!

Wow some of you guys are still here. I been off this site for so long I don't even remember my username or password.  Hi Rozz and Gina!!!!

B: IDEAL Shake (chocolate)

S: 3/4 cup cottage cheese

L: 4oz Grilled tilapia with zoodles 1cup,  grape tomatoes (5) and pesto 2tsp

S: 1/2 c carrots and 1/2 cup grapes.

D: 1/2 C raw salmon, 1/2 c raw ahi 1 cup pickled cucumbers.  (Took son out for his birthday anD he wanted sushi.  This was the healthier choice).

I gained back so much weight in the last 4 years. My surgery weight was 260 and my lowest was 128 lbs.  I was happiest at 145 lbs.  I wanted to be normal so I started eating bad. I reached 198 lbs and enough is enough!!! Now I am on the 21 day fix and lost 23 lbs in the last 8 weeks.  I am so glad I am eating right and putting excercise back in my life.

Wls was the best thing I did for myself. Now to use my tool, eat clean and excercise.

Aloha,

Hapagurlstayfit
