Menus and Miles Tuesday Aug. 4th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Happy Tuesday LW's!!!

Hope you are enjoying your vacation!! I bet it's great spending time with DD!
I can't post on my phone either. Even reading the posts upsets me.
I seem to do better on vacation than at home. I fear coming home with a few extra pounds.
Sounds Great Price!

I've MIA for a few days. I've been really stressed about DH, my extra lbs. and also my best friend's daughter. Her daughter had a physical to play volley ball and the doctor thought he heard an abnormality with her heart. After some tests it was determined she had a hole around the heart and had to have open heart surgery. She will be 16 in 2 weeks and had her gallbladder removed a few months ago so she's had a stressful summer. The surgery was today and everything went well. The hole was described as the size of a Buffalo nickel.
DH is doing much better but they want him to go to rehab for a few days. He is waiting for Humana to give the okay so he can be moved today. The rehab facility is much closer to home.
I'm addressing the lbs. with a plan from BariatricEating.com. It's 4 shakes a day and a meal in the evening of protein and veggies or salad. I like my shakes but not sure I can do 4 a day until I've got the weight off. BE no longer has a message board but messaging is done on Facebook. I joined yesterday and the number of emails was way more than I can cope with so I chose to unfollow.
Breakfast: Muscle Milk
Snack: Quest bar - should have been another shake but I was at the hospital

WOW...16....I'm glad they found the heart problem! It sounds like she is pretty active and that would have been really scarey if it started acting up during a game.
It sounds like that website gave you good advice. From experience I have learned that upping your Protein Shakes is the only way to loose the extra unwanted pounds. I think you can have a couple of protein snacks with that though.

Hi Roz,
I went shopping with a friend today. She is going to help me decorate my house. I am clueless when it comes to what goes with what and usually stick with browns and blues so I need some help and some color. We had a really good time and DH and I can already see a difference in just a few suggestions she made for us to do today. She said it would take us a while to do the whole house because she is a thrifty shopper and looks for really good deals.

Your friend sounds like someone I would love! I love decorating and I love shopping for a bargain!! I rarely change anything in my house because I bought the perfect things the first time around. I just spent a couple of weeks (driving DH crazy) looking for chairs, cushions etc. for my new porch and in my eyes I think it's perfect and beautiful. My family laughs at me because I buy and return things and clothes until I'm completely satisfied.
When DD's built their houses I was so excited! DD#1 didn't really take a lot of my advice and she complains all of the time about things she doesn't like. DD#3 built hers I was in my glory! She gave me ideas on what kind of lights, cupboards, etc. that she had in mine. I spent days on line and shopping and she loves everything I picked out. I guess her and I must have the same tastes.
Sounds Good Linda!
