Crazy how when you start losing weight, you yourself have a hard time seeing it unless you study your pics. However, when you look in the mirror you think you see the same person you saw before surgery. Well, this is how it is for me at times. Anyways, I have always bought my underclothes at Lane Bryant and I knew it was time for me to get some new panties since mine are to big on me. Well, I walked in to LB, my husband went straight over to the panties and said "babe, you can't shop here anymore, they don't sell panties small enough for you". I thought he must be nuts, after all this is LB (where I buy my underclothes), so I walk over to the table and sure enough they don't sell panties for me! Soooo, I ask the lady what their smallest size clothes are and she told me a 14-16! At that moment I spotted a shirt I really liked, so I asked my mom if she thought the 14-16 would fit. It was a smaller looking shirt so I thought maybe with the cut it would work, well it ended up swimming on me! I was kinda bummed and happy all at the same time! I then went to another store and bought a medium shirt, that's right a medium, can you say that with me real quick (a medium)!!!! Well, I'm no longer upset that LB is now not the store for me because I fit a MEDIUM shirt! Face full of smiles, bought that medium and walked out of the store. My husband just laughed at me! My 12yr old said "Mom, you can't start stealing my clothes". lol It will be fun seeing how small my clothes get.. Have a GREAT day everyone and keep up the good work!!
I have never been in a medium. I will be happy when I can fit in a women's 2X shirt. Right now the men's 2X is too large, but the 1X is too snug. I can't wait for the day. How liberating to be out of the Plus Size stores. WhoooAhhh!!

Congratulations! Oh how I long for that day! I have been steadily going up in shirt sizes for the last 3yrs and LB has been my go-to place for quite some time. Would simply love to be able to check out other stores without being disappointed. Currently in 3x so I feel your pain.
Hopefully I will follow in your footsteps in the coming weeks. Keep the faith!

Sooooo Excited for you!!!!!!! Can't wait to hear more "firsts" for you!!
My favorite store was Dress Barn and I felt the same way. They do have smaller sizes on the other side of the store but the styles are so much younger looking so I rarely find anything I feel comfortable in. I've found that since I have been in the same size for over 4 years that I tend to buy name brands off of the sale racks. I could have never afforded them in plus sizes or found any nice ones off the sale rack. When I was heavy if you found something you liked you had to grab it right away if it was your size.

God is walking with me every step of the way. Because of HIM this is possible!!
