Menus and Miles Friday July 31st
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Good Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's Sorry about yesterday....Thanks Linda! I wondered why I didn't get any responses in my Mailbox. I answered posts and apparently forgot to start the new post.
Celebrating a co-workers birthday today and I started out with a 1/2 sugar doughnut and then went back and finished it off....

Roz, did the donut taste as good as you thought it would? In my old life, I loved donuts but now I'm not tempted at all. I think you have to splurge once in awhile. My sister makes delicious cakes and does cake decorating to sell. I always think I want a piece but it never tastes as good as I thought it would.
DH is still in the hospital. The cardiologist changed a medication they were giving him to raise his BP. He did therapy today and didn't have the severe drop in BP he has been having. Now they want him to go to a facility for rehab for a few days. Insurance supposedly pays for 20 days and they don't think he will need that much time. Ugh. At least the rehab facility will be much closer to home.
Tomorrow I'm going to make some low carb eats. I haven't cooked since DH has been gone. I'm getting tired of protein bars, deli ham, cheese and shakes.
Breakfast: protein oatmeal
Lunch: strawberry Quest shake; turkey stick; cheese stick
Snack: Kind bar (not buying these any more since they have the nutritional value of a Twix candy bar)
Dinner: Roast beef; romaine salad w/Parmesan cheese - hospital food but very good
