Menus and Miles Monday July 27th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Afternoon LW's!! I'm sitting here waiting for a client who is running late. The girls in the office that don't have kids get so upset when the clients are running late but it doesn't faze me. Give me a couple of free minutes that my desk is cleaned off a little.

Hi Roz,
I probably missed an update on your DH - how is his leg? Hope he is doing better!
I don't know where my days go now that I am retired. They are going by so fast. I am suppose to go back to work part time in August. I agree to work a few hours a week for the next year to do some separation of duties. We can work up to 49% and still draw retirement. I have no desire to work that much. I might do between 6 and 10 hours a week...

His Hamstring is definitely torn. We meet with the Dr. next Monday to discuss the best type of treatment....surgery vs. time. This is his last full week of pay. I think we get a 25% pay cut starting on Friday and then 50% in another month etc.
You didn't stay retired very long...LOL.
I think DH is really enjoying being off. I was teasing him that he might as well put in his retirement now instead of waiting until Feb. He can't because of messing up the insurance but I think it would have been a good idea. He has been watching kids a lot (an hour here and there) but I told him that school will be in soon and that will be slowing down. He is actually going swimming today with some of the grandkids.
I love Jr. Whoppers! Every once in a while I can get DH to drive to Burger King.
Looks like a decent Protein day!

Financially there is no way I can retire any time soon but I really have no desire to. DH has a hard job and even the girls have said he looks so much better since he has been off. Money is going to be tight for us.
