Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Afternoon LW's!! I had this urge to have Subway today. DH hates it and so I never get to go. It will take me most of the afternoon to eat it. I've only taken a few bites and I'm hiccuping already. That will be my carbs for the rest of the week....lol.

I think it would take me forever to eat a sub although I did polish off a whole sandwich last weekend. I used to get one of their flatbreads and eat the insides out. You can get them to fill it up with veggies and it was cheaper than a salad.
Meeting this morning after spending some time in the garden. Now I have about 2 gal of beans to snap. I hope to mow some this afternoon if it doesn't rain.

I ended up eating the insides of the sub. I remember snapping beans and doing peas with my Grandma when I was little. I don't think my son-in-laws going to have any beans to cook because every time I see him he is eating them raw.
Sounds Good Price!

It turns out my experiment in eating more calories is working, my scale really liked me this morning. Hopefully that continues. Tomorrow is my 5 month post op. Anyways on to food!
Breakfast: Fruit punch protein drink 26g
Lunch: leftover taco meat 1.5oz with shredded cheese and cauliflower tots 14g protein 1 carb
Snack: Fruit punch protein 26g
Dinner: undecided; but probably leftovers
I know I will have another fruit punch protein drink later as well and maybe a slice of cheese so that would be another 26g and 5g
Is it weird to count my protein drinks as snack? I use these to also help me get my water in since I LOVE them now. Does anyone not do snacks?

Have stopped losing pounds but am losing inches!
My Dr group, thank goodness, was one that wanted you eating small meals often and counted protein drinks as both liquid and food. At my 4 yr visit, they were very happy I was still eating often and having protein suppliments. there are Drs who want 3 meals a day and that is it. I wouldn't do well with that.

My favorite Subway sandwich used to be the Teriyaki Chicken, but I have trouble getting the bread down. I don't understand why their salads are so expensive.
I have some low carb recipes I want to try over the next few days. I tend to cook for DH and DS and work around that for me. Time to focus on me.
DH is having BP problems and has not been able to do any rehab. When he stands up his BP drops to 40 and he is dizzy. When he is lying down, his BP goes way up. Cardiology has been called in. He can't come home until he is able to walk with the walker so it will be at least Monday before he comes home.
B: scrambled egg, Canadian bacon
L: Duh.....can't remember
S: Iced coffee; protein bar
D: salad w/ham, cheese
S: Protein pudding

Hope your DH is better soon and can come home. He needs to be working that new knee as quickly as possible but that is hard if you can't lay down or get up!!!
