Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this:  I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up.   It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Afternoon LW's!!!   I have become hooked on Sugar Snap Peas.  I love the crunch and the sweetness.  What I've been reading is that they are very beneficial and a good healthy food choice.  What's your opinion?

I love sugar snaps.  they are higher in carbs than say green beans but probably about the same as English peas.  Here they are an early spring crop and I haven't grown them in a few years.

Met with staff once, have another meeting this evening.  One more after this and we will be all trained.

Rain here today finally.  We were getting pretty dry.  Glad I got hay in yesterday since now it is wet again.

I was enjoying my coffee and GMA this morning when the temp service called about 8:30 asking me to take a job for the day.  They needed me to there ASAP so I got ready and was here by 9:30.  No time to fix a lunch and I didn't really have anything to fix quickly.  Since I would have an hour for lunch I thought I could go out for something.

The job is at Google.  All I'm doing is sitting at the reception desk letting me in the front door.  You either have a badge to get in or visitors have to ring the bell.  No phones here.  To contact someone you send an email.  I'm not set up for their computer so when someone comes in I have to get another person to contact them.  One of the employees insisted in giving me a computer to play around on.  That has really helped pass the time.  My Kindle was about out of juice and I was getting sleep reading all day.

They have a kitchen with all kinds of snacks and everything is free.  I was able to get enough snacks for lunch.  There's a lot of junk food but some healthy food too.

B:  Click shake

L:  Beef sticks; almonds

S:  Quest bar

D:  Chicken breast

I will definitely have to look into the temp job when I retire.  My DD hasn't gotten a teaching job yet but she kindof likes being able to say no if she needs a day off.

Sounds Good!

I've been eating them raw and the are really good.  Satisfies my need for something crunchy and a little sweet.

What kind of ribs do you buy and do you put BQ sauce on them?  I haven't been able to use BQ sauce since my surgery.  It always seems to make me dump a little.

Sounds Yummy!

I bought the ribs at a BBQ restaurant.  He put mild sauce in there but I usually just eat them with no sauce on them.  I can dip a little in there, but if I eat too much I will get a racing heart...

I made the Blueberry Yogurt bread with carbquick but hid the box and DH didn't even know it!!  My DD and DGD#2 ate some and both said how good it was.

The nurse said so far my lab numbers are in the normal range but that's probably for someone NORMAL...LOL.  I guess my white blood count is low though.

Sounds Good!
