Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this:  I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up.   It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Beautiful Saturday in PA!  Morning LW's!!  I'm off to get some groceries....YEAH!  Since DH got hurt we have buying things a day a time because he really hasn't been eating much and that's been terrible for me.  I need some better Protein foods in the house.

This afternoon I'm going to work on my flower beds.  With all of the rain and building the new porch other things have been left go and everything needs a good pruning.

Drove Teke this morning before the worst of the heat.  Got to go to the grocery this afternoon and to get a pedicure.  Trying to not spend the whole weekend on the computer.

The garden is doing great and I am giving away cukes and squash to everyone I can.  Hope the tomatoes start turning soon.  Blackberries are taking the blueberries place in my yogurt.

Your garden sounds YUMMY Price!!

I'm glad you finally did something for yourself!  It's so hard for me to find time to do something that requires me sitting still for any length of time. I love getting pedicures and I desperately need one now!

Sounds Good!

Hi Roz,

Hope you had fun working in the flower beds.  Our contractor friend came early this morning and worked almost all day adding shelves to most of the closets.  I had to empty them all this morning and we had to paint them when he finished.  Now I need to line them and put the things back into them - probably not going to happen tonight.

I never got to my flowers all weekend!  The Traffic and busy stores were crazy!  I guess everyone has been putting off shopping because of all of the rain.  I spent a lot of time at the grocery store, stopped at Walmart and Sam's Club for a few things, Lowes for some more cushions for my porch, and then I was exhausted....LOL.  Yesterday I visited my Mom and we had the boys all afternoon.

I love the smell of new paint! My house needs painted sooooo bad and DH hates to paint.  Have you posted new pictures of your house?  In retirement picture was that your kitchen?  It was really pretty.

Sounds Good Linda!

It's hot and humid here but no rain.  I'm not one for doing yard work ever, but I did do a little this afternoon.  We moved here last August and the hedge between our house and the neighbor hadn't been taken care of in a long time.  I helped DH pull out vines.  I suggested having someone do it since he has knee problems, but he doesn't want to.  Whatever is in those bushes made me itch.  I couldn't wait to take  shower.

Roz, how is your DH doing?  If my DH isn't here I eat badly because I won't cook for myself.

Price, I love fresh blackberries.

I cut out 3 small quilts this afternoon and sewed one together.  If I'm not working next week, I should get some quilting done.

Today's eats:

1/2 homemade waffle; 2 slices bacon

Iced protein coffee

Quest bar

Click shake

Taco salad

My DH is having an MRI on Friday.  Every time he seems like it's getting a little better it seems to get worse.

Do you sew your quilts on a machine?  Do you quilt the tops by hand?  I wish my Mom could still do that.  It might give her something to do at the Nursing Home.

Sounds Good!
