Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Over the hump day....YEAH!!!! My scales are up a little today. Will I ever beat the stress eating??? I doubt it BUT as long as I keep my eye on the scales I WON'T let it get out of control...that's a Promise to myself and my family!!
Nasty storms went through our area all night long. We were lucky we only had a downspout missing but others weren't so lucky. The electric came on about 2am and blinded us....LOL. It was quite funny. We didn't realize we had so many lights on.
I take DH to the Dr. today to have his hamstring and hemotoma checked. I don't think he will be able to go back to work. He can put a little weight on his leg but not enough for laborer or driving his big dump truck.

Today is my 7 year surgiversary. I'm so happy I had the surgery. I can't seem to get rid of those extra lbs. I fluxuate between 10 to 13 lbs. gained. I'm doing better staying off carbs even those that are complex. DH not snacking the evening is helping too.
Price, thanks for the info on using the bands for exercise. I just did 30 minutes on my stationary bike.....woo hoo!! No excuses for not using the bike. I have to make it a habit.
The temp service called me about 12:40 today to see if I could do a job for the afternoon at an office in downtown Kansas City. So, off I went. It was really easy money. I answered the phone a few times and greeted 3 guests. I didn't take my Kindle because I thought I would be working on a project. I did have my phone and played Solataire.
Today's eats:
Premier protein shake
Strawberry Fields salad at Wendy's (half portion)
Iced protein coffee
Quest bar
Bean Soup; 6 saltines
The soup recipe is from Food Network's Ree Drummond. It's called 7 Can Soup and is to easy. It does have several cans of beans and is high fiber but also high carb. I'm never sure about beans.
I added my foods and exercise to Sparkpeople and here are the stats:
1,087 calories; 81 carbs; 104 protein; 29 g fat

HAPPY SURGIVERSARY!!!! I can't wait to get year #7....I'm getting tired of #6+ years out....lol.
I'm glad you are still posting!! I've noticed that even on the days I haven't been able to post I eat a few things to many. Posting really keeps me accountable!
I know beans are carbs but I don't consider them "bad" carbs so if I want them I eat them without any guilt. The carbs I try to stay away from potatoes, corn, rice, fruits, bread, sugary carbs etc.
Retirement didn't last long haha! I'm not even considering retiring but when the time comes I think I'll want to wor****asionally too. Signing up for a temp service sounds like a good idea. My Manager is retiring the end of September. I'm hoping that means I might get a raise. I can't imagine the Director hiring someone for her position since basically she gives me little direction. I'm guessing he will just be there if I have questions. We all took a pay cut a few years ago so maybe we will get some of that back.
Your calories definitely aren't too high. Maybe you aren't eating enough? It's possible you might need to add some good Protein calories like meat, eggs, etc.
Thanks for Soup info! I'm going to check it out.

Crazy day here. I drove Teke early then spent from 12-8 in meetings and training staff. Brain dead at this point. Have staff coming at 8:30 in the morning for more training. I will be so happy to get over this hump.
I have eaten exactly what I have put down and somehow went from 133 Sunday to 132 Monday to 135 yesterday, back to 134 today. I just hate this bouncing around when I have stayed absolutely on program.
decaf protein coffee 33g
low carb pita, sausage
lemon tea protein 13g
squash/beef casserole
Caribbean cooler protein 13g
the end of the squash/beef casserole

You are normally a very busy person Price so maybe meetings and trainings slowed down your metabolism. How about salt in the sausage and casseroles or not drinking enough water? Sometimes things just happen with no explanation.
Sounds Good!

yeah, I just can't figure it out. I know when I eat salty stuff it can go up but you would think it would come back down. My fluid is always at least 60 oz, usually more like 80 oz. I guess I am just a bouncer but it is so frustrating to be doing good then bounce back up for no apparent reason.
