Menus and Miles Friday June 26th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Happy Friday LW's!!! Are you looking forward to the weekend? I'm hoping DH gets my porch done but it is suppose to rain all day. We are going to look at a porch glider in the morning that I found on Craig's List plus we have 2 kids Birthday Parties. Kids parties mean junk food and lots of noise!!
My desk is a disaster!!!! It's Friday and I have to get it in order or next week will start off bad!

Hot dog it's Friday! I'm not sure what I'm complaining about I was off Mon-Wed with a migraine so I only worked 2 days this week. I have an Amazing weekend planned (as long as my head allows), I am going camping/quading (4 wheeling) with amazing friends! None of us have our kids this weekend which is a bummer because they all love to ride and have their own quads, but should be great fun anyways! Quading during the hot day, natural hot spring in the evening to work the muscles, nice hot fire at night to sit around a shoot the breeze. My husband and I have planned our meals to make sure everything is WLS approved!! So all in all I should do pretty good.
B: Premier chocolate protein shake 30g protein
L: cheese and turkey sausage bites
D: grilled chicken before we hit the road
snack: Pemeir chocolate protein shake 30g protein

Jo, I had a blast! The weather was extreamly hot during the day, between 97 and 100 degrees of dry heat. Gotta love the southern AZ sun! However, since it is Monsoon season, the clouds would roll in at about 5:30 and the cool breeze would feel wonderful! Wasn't tempted too much by the wonderful campfire food everyone loves so much (thank goodness) so I stayed on plan and ate very well. By the end of the night I would have all my proteins needed for the day plus some which was good since we were riding hard in that heat. Even my migraine stayed away most of the weekend! No one flew off their bike, no accidents so all in all the weekend was a success! Hope you had a good weekend as well! If you ever in Southern AZ let me know and we can go out riding together! My muscles hurt so bad when we got home so I know I got a good workout, I even have muscles I didn't know I had (boy did I feel those ones). LOL
I was in meetings all day then when I tried to get home, a storm had knocked down trees everywhere. Wow. Just a few miles away there was nothing. DH had to come help me move pieces of trees so I could get home. Pretty scary.
