Menus and Miles Monday June 22nd
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Happy Monday!!! I had a few chips over the weekend but other than that I did pretty good. At the steakhouse yesterday I shared shrimp with our youngest DGD which was delicious. We had one chilly evening (sick of the rain!!) so I put Dress Pants on and they felt a little snug but I'm thinking it's just because my shorts are just so comfy because the scales still looking good. My porch is just about done and it's looking pretty good.... We can't stain it for 2 months but we will get to enjoy it.

decaf protein coffee 33g
eggbeaters, cheese, kale
lemon tea protein 13g
leftover zucchini and chicken from last night
Caribbean cooler protein 13g

I did great at my first meeting. They had a ton of food and I got none!!! Yeah, me!!!
Sad day, we ended up having my min pin, Max, put to rest. He was at least 15, a rescue we had for 14 years, had congestive heart failure and was almost completely blind. But at 7 pounds, he was my baby and lap dog. He started having trouble breathing during the night and by noon we knew what we had to do. So hard that our life spans are so different.

AWE so sad about Max. I'm so sorry. I still miss my bird terribly. He would sit on my shoulder and talk and talk. We bird sat this past week for our nephew and it brought all that heartache back. I miss him terribly.
Protein sounds good!

My menu is planned for day. What a big help that is. Seems like when I have it written down, I tend to follow it. I'm really liking the new Oikos yogurt. It's the one in the black container. Can't remember the full name.
Tomorrow is my cataract surgery so I probably won't be on the computer.
Today's eats:
Ricotta cheese w/1/2 scoop protein powder & walnuts
Cantaloupe
Turkey/cheese roll up; Oikos yogurt
Iced protein coffee
Pork cutlet, salad
Almonds
Without figuring in the turkey/cheese.....856 calories; 25 carbs; 3.4 fiberr; 98 g protein
