Menus and Miles Saturday June 20th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!! DH and SIL's worked on building our new porch until really late last night. They finally at the Roast and Potatoes I cooked at midnight! I'm so excited that it's probably going to be done today!! I didn't realize that we couldn't stain it for 2 months so I was a little disappointed but DH says he will still put the railings on it and stain around them....he is such a sweetheart (yes we have been married 40+ years and I still think that!). I got up early and enjoyed my Protein Drink (maybe tomorrow I can enjoy it on my new porch!). Not sure what we are eating the rest of the day because I have to cook/buy for the guys.

I wish all that running around made me better at keeping the weight off. Actually, the stress and new temptations at meetings is horrible. I definitely ate more than I should have while I was cooking and at the meeting. What has helped me is being on this site, day after day for 5+ years. I still have gone up, but at least more slowly and I have not given up, which I would have certainly done before.

We always go to TX Roadhouse and our guys love it but DD's decided they wanted to take them some place different so they went to Hoss's. SIL #1 was disappointed because they didn't have regular food on the salad bar. DH complained because it was over an hour away and the other SIL's didn't voice their opinions "to us" anyway. I love their green beans at TX RH.
