Im aiming for 125 I would like to buy clothes for winter (they're practically for free at 75% off lol) I will be 8 months post op then, I'm currently 178. Not sure to go with small or medium, heck I've never ever been a medium or small, I started off at 3x and now a large although a bit snug I can fit it. What do you ladies suggest?

I'm not sure how you are built, but I'm at 190 right now and can squeeze in some size Mediums.  They may not look the best (read:  sausage roll) but considering how quickly sizes change nowadays, I'd probably go towards a small if it is more loose like a skirt or a relaxed fit shirt.  If it was something more fitted I'd probably go for a medium.  And I agree, I'm all about the 75% of sales!

Forget the 75% off sales and go "Thrift"!  I live in Massachusetts we have Thrift stores all over the place and in Boston we have a Goodwill "Outlet" that's right a Thrift store outlet.  This place charges $1.75 for any pants, skirts, or blouses and $3 - $4 for coats.  This is MY kind of deal.  I've lost 100 lbs and am 4 pounds away from my goal weight.  I still love to shop this way. Nowadays it is not shameful to shop there, at least here in Massachusetts.  I find more people at the Thrift stores than I do at the regular stores.  I am also able to buy things that I would never be able to afford brand new.  I find a lot of high quality items out there.

I am 4'10+ and when I was 125 I wore 2-8 depending on the clothes, mostly 6s.  My arm flab keeps me out of some smalls but I have no chest so that isn't an issue.  I also have no waist and am pretty straight which influences a lot of pants because although they fit everywhere else, I can't button some of the smaller ones.  At 132-5 now, I am in 8s bottoms mostly, medium tops mostly (sometimes small, never large).

go to the estimator on this site and see where, about, you will be then.  That may help. It may be called post op planner under "more" and resources.  I love that thing while I was losing to see if I was on track or not.  No matter how slow I thought I was losing, I was always ahead of the average.

Ok, dumb question for you, do you put in your surgery weight or your weight you started at?  The weight they give is that for starting on that month or ending on that month? for instance on mine it says 3 month is 168 but I weight 176, so am I not on track or will I be on track as I end my 3rd month?  I said it was a dumb question, but I really don't understand that graph.  And to think I usually take pride in myself with the fact I'm not dumb. LOL

I think I put in my starting weight at surgery and then ????  It has been a long time since I have used it!!!  I didn't lose much before surgery and so I am almost sure I put down my surgery weight.  I guess then 1 month would be the end of the first month, or after 1 month.  The beginning of the 1st month would be when you had surgery so it would have to be the end of the month??? Yes??/

Ok, I just went back and looked at it.  0. stands for when you had surgery, 1. stands for when you hit 1 month, 2 stands for when you hit 2nd month so on and so forth.  So on the 24th I hit my 3 months and as of right now I will need to lose 8.3 lbs in 5 days to be on track.  WOW!!  I don't see that happening but my first month I was ahead of schedule so maybe this time I'm behind a little and next time I catch up.  All in all I am very happy with 58.7lbs loss in 4 months (pre diet included). I also didn't start tracking my inches until May 8th and since that time I have lost 4in off my waist, 2.5in off my hips, 2in off my bust, 1.3in off my neck and dropped 3 pant sizes.  Today I started measuring my wrist, upper arm and thighs.  Thank You very much for helping me out, my brain just didn't want to work right! Thank Goodness it's Friday!!!!  Hope you have a Blessed weekend!

I am so buying clothes at the thrift store, and I allow my self to buy one size down from where I am.  Lol you should see my closet.  Its all larges right now, but they are so diverse, there is the stack of larges that I can wear to work, those that are a bit more fitted that I wear out, and the dream pile of those that have no right claiming to be larges (they actually might be jrs) as they can't be worn yet...but soon, and then there is a tucked away pile of a few mediums that are my dream pile.

Then theres that donation pile of XL, 1X, & 2X's that I haven't got around to dealing with yet that just keeps growing.  So much fun!!!

I'm Jo   HW 245, SW 236, CW 151 Yeah (Normal BMI!!!!)

M1=213 (-23), M2=201 (-12), M3=186 (-15), M4=175(-11), M5=166(-9), M6=157(-9), M7=153(-4)

I second going for the smalls. I'm "pre-buying" some clothes too because I want to keep my wardrobe as limited as possible as I lose (I wear scrubs most days and have some clothes that were too big before I even got to wear them!). One thing I've found is that vanity sizing has really affected sizes since the last time I was my current weight in 2003. Old clothes I saved (yes, for 12 years!) are mostly XL and 2X and fit me like current larges do. You may find that it varies a lot by brand though. I hate the sizing of women's clothes! I'm afraid to buy anything under a large because there are so many normal weight people who wear a large that I feel there's no guarantee I'll ever get under there.
