Menus and Miles Thursday June 11th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Happy Thursday!! DGS should have been at the house last night. DH brought me home a single serving bag of Kettle Chips and I ate the whole thing!!!!!
Meeting at our Mom's Nursing home today. The nursing staff keeps telling us she is doing great so I hope there's not surprises today. The last meeting was awful!

I hope things go well during the visit with your mom, Nursing homes can present all sorts of difficulties. Good Luck...
Tell DH, DH's don't bring you things on your No-No list, even if he was tryiig to be nice... ;-)
Zumba today, hopefully it goes a bit smoother than the yoga class... Both of the boys are coming with me to the gym. DH to check out the facility & DS is going to the Buddy Boot Camp Class. Fun all around ;-). This will be the end of the free week from American Family Fitness (really trendy gorgeous gym, not sure its what im looking for), and then next week its the YMCA to see their program for a free week. Then we have to commit to one or the other. Ironically the YMCA is $5 more expensive a mth, but they do have a pool. Both have good options for childcare, and childrens exercise programs while the parents work out. Isn't it amazing what people think of, . Anyways...

Vit & H20: Getting there
The Nursing Home meetings was GREAT!! They said she is doing really well. I did bring up a few things that were bothering us and they are going to look into them. Like getting her to walk some every day and removing her food restrictions (she's lost 8 pounds).
Our DD's family belongs to the local YMCA. They have all kinds of activities for the kids through out the year. Swimming, Softball, Basketball, track etc. It's more of a family atmosphere.
Sounds Good! do you know what your Good Protein Total is?

I would certainly go with what is suppose to happen for your area. Here, I think we plant in the early spring or maybe in the fall. Mine have been in for a few years and I'm not sure when I planted them. Plant at least 3, one early, mid and late harvest so you will have blueberries all summer.

Sounds Good! I'm glad to see you are getting into back on track before you retire. Do you think it will be harder or easier being at home?

I really need to get back to posting here. No excuses really. I've done a lot of cleaning and organizing closets, but also a lot of reading. Yesterday, I quilted a child's quilt then went to the quilt shop to work with another person putting together a quilt for charity.
I know I'm eating less than when I was working, but the scale isn't showing it. I think I need to schedule an appointment with my surgeon's office. I can see the dietician.
Today's eats:
Protein coffee
Baked chicken; 3 small pieces of roasted potato (lunch at a meeting)
Muscle Milk
Cheese & Bacon Quiche
Nature Valley Almond Crunch Bar
