Menus and Miles Monday June 8th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Happy Monday !!!

Well, I met my mom in Branson, MO this weekend. I took my son to her. He will stay with her until we meet at Walt Disney World at the end of the month. So, the rest of this month is all about me. I am going to be 100% back on plan eating wise and I am going to get back into exercising. The end of school and all the programs, activities and parties had me stretched pretty thin (unfortunately that thinness didn't reflect on the scale) ;)
Breakfast: Peanut Butter Matrix shake with 8 oz Carbmaster milk (1 1/2 scoop) 45.5 protein
Lunch: Grilled chicken patty with slice melted cheese from Sonic, 29.53 protein
Dinner: I'm thinking another protein shake either Peanut Butter or Mint Cookie, 45.5 protein
Vitamins: On track
Water: On track
Exercise: I have several things I am hoping to get done tonight... wash the car, mow the lawn... if I have time after that I would like to ride my bike! :)
We used to be the lucky grandparents who met their daughter and got to keep their Granddaughter for awhile. I have to admit I don't miss those days of having to send her back. Fortunately all of our grandkids live close by now.
Sounds Good!!

My menu is soooo redundant, but I do better when on a routine so I guess that's a good thing.
B-Protein coffee
S- laughing cow light cheese wedge (really I use a generic brand but the stats are identical and the cost 1/3 less)
L- Seafood salad 1/2 cup
D- something protein... Im thinking pork roast
Vits & water...working it
I never seen a generic brand of laughing cow. I wish they had a generic for the babybel's. They are so good but to expensive. I have to wait for a sale.
Sounds Good!

I woke up this morning and my back ached soooo bad and then I remembered I picked up a lot of twigs and branches that were all over the yard after the last rain storm.

I just got back from an eye exam so my vision is a little off. Cataract surgery is scheduled for June 23rd but it will depend on my co-pay. DH spent $199 on co-pays last week. He had 2 doctor appointments and an EGD Friday. He has severe acid reflux caused by his stomach not emptying properly. He was put on a low fiber diet. Soon after coming home he was vomiting and had chest pain so I took him to the ER. The doctor thinks his esophagus was damaged when biopsies were taken. He hasn't eaten food since last Thursday. Another scope was to be done today but the doctor decided not to do it to avoid more damage. He is going to try to eat a soft diet for lunch and see if he can keep it done. If so he will come home. His new diet is going to be challenging.
I'm really enjoying being home but I'll probably go back to temping in July. With all these co-pays, I need to work.
I need to make changes to my diet. I'm so burned out on shakes. I need the protein, but I'm using them because they're easy and I know exactly how much protein I'm having. Having protein in water twice a day will give me about 40 gram.
Today's Eats:
B: Protein shake
L: 2 Beef sticks, 2 slices light Swiss cheese
D: 15 Bean soup; saltines
S: fruit cup
Just can't think of anything that sounds good.

That's terrible about your DH. My DH has terrible acid reflux too. We have to get insurance approval every 6 months so he can take a double dose of Nexium. I hope he starts feeling better soon.
We hit our $6,000.00 deductible at the end of May. Thank goodness my DH's employer gave us 4000 of it.
Aren't you pretty young for Cataracts? I didn't know younger people got them. My Mom could see better than me after she got her's done.
Sounds Good!
