Menus and Miles Sunday May 31st
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
I'm sorry....I was on answering posts this morning and I thought for sure I started M&M.

I had a good week over the last week, but I really blew it today, started off with a scrambled egg & a protein shake, decent right...
Then the water amusement park happened, no food or drinks avail, bought my son a bag of buttered popcorn & a iced slurpee, and they both made the rounds between us all multiple times. I don't even want to think about the amt of them I consumed, we were so hungry and hot...I dread seeing the scale tomorrow morn...
Im closing out the day with a decent meal of a very small portion of steak and green beans... but still I need to quit apologizing and get it together...
Don't beat yourself up. Glad you didn't get sick because both popcorn buttered and sugar can cause issues. Learn from your mistake and prepare with a protein bar or babybell or something like that in your purse for the next time. The scale probably won't register it tomorrow unless the popcorn had a bunch of salt and you retain fluid.
None of us are perfect and we all do crazy stuff from time to time. Just get back to keep on keeping on and you will be fine.

Ironically I packed a bunch of sneaky snacks (hidden from those bag inspectors at the gate) for my son, fruit rollups, squeezy applesauce, gummy snacks. But I didn't do the protein bar for me, I love the taste of them, so I don't keep them in the house because they are a temptation and although they have decent protein, the carb count is beyond what I consider acceptable right now. (Love, Love, Love Kind Bars!!!!) I still should have planned for it though, almost anything would have been way better than popcorn and slurpee... Ah well live & learn... The scale only penalized me 1 lb and the great day with the family was worth it, so now I just have to recover...again...
If it's like our water parks they don't allow you to take drinks and foods in so other than water there probably wasn't much you could have. I love popcorn (eat it every day) and I know the butter probably wasn't the best for you but it might have been one of the best choices on the menu as far as "good" carbs.
You ended the day Awesome!

haha...is it because it's boney? I thought the extra skin/fat on my butt would help but it hasn't....lol. I sit on a cushion with a hole in it at work. It really takes the pressure off of my tailbone. My NP treating my IC recommend it and I love it. It also makes me sit up straighter because it's thicker and I can't slouch back.
Sounds like a really good Menu Day!!!!!

Actually, it probably has something to do with the fact that I broke my sacrum 2x. My special pillow is in the truck so I should get it back out. I'm going to be spending lots of time sitting, lol.
