Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm not having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Beautiful Warm Summer Day!! Got some exercise pulling weeds and trimming my bushes. I have a few rose bushes I'm going to pull out and replace with the knock out roses. Off to our DGD's ballgame in a little while so I have to wash the dirty sweat off of me just to go and sit in the sun at her ballgame...lol.
My scale**** my "perfect" number of 119 yesterday and today....YEAH!!!!! It took about 3 weeks to get those couple of pounds off. Definitely loose a lot slower on Maintenance than I did during the Honeymoon Period BUT I also don't gain like I did before WLS so as soon as I see those couple pounds I watch what I eat and make sure I concentrate on Protein. I NEVER LET POUND #3 SHOW UP!!!!!!

You have been much better at controlling those creeping pounds than I have, Roz. Yesterday did help though, sticking with protein and good carbs (greens and dairy). Now I just need a few more days of that and hopefully I will be over the sugar cravings.
Drove Teke this morning. Lots of paperwork to do while DH and DS are playing golf and the house is quiet.

You can do this Price!!!!!!! You travel so much and meet up with friends and that makes it hard. My life is pretty boring and routine.
It's hard to break the sugar and junk food habits that we have. I weigh my self every day and then I decide if I can have something extra. DH being in the hospital over Easter is when I gained 3 pounds and then we went straight into vacation. It's taken awhile but I was determined to get back into my comfort range. I don't plan on letting it happen again but life has a way of changing my plans way to often.
(((HUGS))) Price!

Thanks Gina!! Being able to drink a Protein Drink in the Morning has helped me a lot. I'm going to try to add another one in this week.
