Syntrax Confusion?
I want to start this off with the opener I love Syntrax, I find the flavor so much better than most of the stuff Ive tasted, and it dissolves so much better to me...
Now here's where my Confusion sets in. I ordered a Syntrax Sample packets bunch from this link http://www.mybariatricpantry.com and the stats were different than on the original Syntrax Labels. They had the #'s about (depending on the flavor) calories: 180, Carbs: 6, Protein 23, (the labels were just stickers on foil envelopes that had been created by the website rather than Syntrax) And the actual labels on the flavors I've got at home read calories @40, Carbs 1, Protein 23.
So my question is which stats are right? Is Syntrax doing that whole Net carbs/calories subtracting fiber thing you hear some folks do? If it is the higher numbers I want to know because, that's over half of my carb/calorie counts in one meal since I do a scoop and half per shake...Just curious if anyone knows the real deal since a lot of us use Syntrax...
Syntrax makes several different proteins. the Nectars label says 1/4 scoop, 25 calories, 0 carbs, 6 protein (23 per scoop). Matrix, I have 3, are all different. They range from 110 to 140 calories per scoop, 2-6 carbs and all were 23g protein.
Most of us stuck with Nectars early out and only went to Matrix after a while or never. I do the Nectars for Caribbean Cooler and Lemon Tea and Matrix for chocolate, vanilla and mint cookie. Matrix is cheaper but I love the Nectars and their low carbs and calories.

Yeah, I looked at the labels closer last eve. The nectar ones were the one with the low calorie counts and as you all pointed out, the calories referred to 1/4 scoop. A little misleading which bothers me as its that whole bait & hook thing, but ultimately I like the taste of it and the calories are about equal to the lowest options out there. So I guess Ill stick with it, but I feel it is a little dishonest on their part, which is kinda crummy.

Regardless I would say its good to know just for tracking purposes and I still really like the taste...
I just ordered some of the Nectar samples because I haven't tried many of the flavors... When I received my order, I found out the Nectar Naturals have more carbs. :( I'm very disappointed in myself for not checking into it better on the website before I purchased. I just assumed it would be low carb like the others. It isn't.
The sample packets have 1 scoop and some of the labels I have noticed give the value of 1/4 scoop. And the nutritional value varies by flavor.
I have a hard time mixing the Nectar. In the blender makes it to frothy and I can't seem to get rid of the clumps if I use a shaker bottle... :/ How to you mix yours? The Matrix mixes fine in the blender.
