Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!!!! I hope everyone was Blessed with a nice Memorial Day. I thought about my Dad a lot yesterday. He was in the Korean War. After coming home, marrying our Mom and having a family he died with lung cancer at the age of 46. Since our Mom is 81 now and has dementia we didn't get to reminisce like in the past. My Girls never new him so there are no Memories there for them. We helped DD#1 do some landscaping, had a short cookout and then went to the park with DD's and 5 Grandkids. They had a blast riding their bikes and scooters. It was a nice uneventful day with the ones we love.

Time for me to get back in the saddle and post my eats. I've been so busy with this filing project. Thankfully, it's about done and Friday is my last day. I'm counting the hours. I'm really looking forward to be home. I need to do some housecleaning. DH is supposed to do the housework when I'm working, but he hasn't done it like I wanted it done. He's having knee problems so that's his excuse; however, he can work in the yard for hours. Hummmm, could it be he'd rather work in the yard than do housework?? I'm really looking forward to being in my sewing room and working on quilts.
Our holiday weekend was nice. It seems like this year more was done and said about remembering our veterans. Several times I heard someone comment the day was for remembering not just a holiday. That's good. I think over the years people have focused more on the pool opening and the start of summer.

Hi Roz! Had a good day yesteray. Went to the parade with John and the girls (Nicole was working it). I held the baby the whole time - she's so congested she is having a hard time breathing - poor baby. Nicole has done pretty much everything she can do... I then came home and tackled my "to do" list - which was cleaning out/organizing the garage (I have fun doing that!), putting in my screen door, grocery shopping, painting some window boxes Nicole and I made on Sunday. Put the last coat on them this morning. Now I need to find someone to hang them. I'm scared to do it because I have brick and don't want to mess it up...
I did buy chips at the store yesterday. And I've already eaten most of the bag... they're my downfall. Otherwise I'm not eating bad...
Yesterday I was so busy working I wasn't even hungry... Had 3 small chicken tenders for breakfast and 2 eggs w/ a piece of wheat toast for dinner about 8:30. But - the chips .....
B - coffee
L - hamburg patty w/cheese
CHIPS
D - caveman chili (I use more veggies than called for)
Vits: yes
Water: doing pretty good today.

I sent you a text this morning about the terrible storms in Houston and I was thinking about your son and new DIL. I guess they must be fine or you would have mentioned them.
I hope your Grandbaby starts feeling better. Our Grandsons including the baby have had that nasty nasty cold going around. It lasted for a couple of weeks. Meds, inhalers and breathing treatments are a common thing in their house.
Chips are a weakness for me too if they are in eye site. I rarely buy them but my girls usually bring "my favorite" when we have a planned get together.
Sounds Good!

Yes - I got your text - thanks! Did you get my response?
He sent me a picture of a truck underwater with only the top of the cab showing - and that was right in front of their apt building. He mentioned (he was on his way to work) about all the cars under water. He said they got 7-11" of rain per hour for 7 hours.... I'm not even sure how he managed to get where he was going. He said "back roads"....

I love having a routine!! I would much rather eat the same thing every day than to have to think about it. I think it would be harder if you had to have variety on a daily basis.
Sounds Good!

Hi everyone! I had a wonderful busy weekend. Spent all day Saturday at the pool party/BBQ. On Saturday we took our 11yr old and a friend to the zoo, lunch, put put golf and then to end the day we went and got a frozen yogurt (wow cow no sugar added). Memorial day we had a nice quiet, relaxing day at home (still got 2mile walk in though). Today it's back to work and back to a normal eating/exercise schedule.
