Menus and Miles Friday May 15th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Roz, looks like you are all alone here today. I've been missing because of my work project. It's almost done and I'm so glad. The last 2 weeks I've really worked hard getting files ready for storage. I have 2 more weeks here then I can return to retirement. The first week of June I already have a date with my granddaughter for lunch and who knows what else. She likes to bake so we may do that.
Looking forward to the weekend.
Today's eats:
B - Click shake
L - Cheese & Beef Sticks
S - Corozona bar
D - Steamed shrimp and veggies leftover from dinner out last night.

I've missed so many things being away so much! I didn't know you were retiring?? Linda retires soon too. My DH is trying to hold off until Feb. but I'm not sure he will make it. I can't imagine what I would do if I quit work. I've only been at this job 6 years and I absolutely love it and have no desire to quit right now. I think DH will drive me crazy when he's done and I really don't want to have to deal with that every day.
Looks Good!

Roz, I retired August 31, 2012. In October 2013 I started working for a temp service. Usually, I just take short assignments, but Blue Cross had a 6 month assignment so I took it I had worked there previously and really liked it. I'm so ready to return to retirement. So many quilt projects to do plus cleaning out some closets.
DH has been retired for several years. I have to say 24/7 with him can get on my nerves. Max is a super nice guy but he wants to know what I'm doing every second. I try to be patient and not say what I'm really thinking.:)
It's great you love your job. I have several hobbies so being home all the time isn't boring. I do enjoy office work and especially the money.

My Mom and Grandma were quilters. I'm hanging on to the last ones they made. Mom gave us one when we got married 41 years ago and I use it every day. It's starting to fall apart but I can't sleep without it.
My DH constantly wants me around. He has been sick since before Easter with a bowel obstruction and then this terrible flu that's going around our family and he drove me crazy!! I haven't felt good the last few days and I don't like be hovered over but he is no where to be found...lol. He's probably out having fun with the grandkids.

Hi Major Mom, I was just reading your stats and noticed I am primarily at the same height/ weight you were when you began. It Was inspiring to see you lost and maintained your weight for a long period of time. I was hoping you could share some of your journey with me? I start my one week pre-op this coming wednesday and scheduled RNY surgery the following Wednesday. Thank you for any help/guidance you can give me!
