Aggravated/litte depressed.
I'm 6 weeks post opp and feel like I'm not losing enough weight. I'm feeling bloated and so scared I'm going to go backwards if I don't snap out of this funk soon.
My husband lost his weight so fast after RNY, I feel like I should be losing faster. My head knows he was heavier and had more to lose and his surgery is way different than mine. But gosh, I want some results.
UGGGGG!!!!
Try not to be discouraged, I know... easier said then done. I don't feel like I am losing fast enough either... You can see my weight loss progress in my signature... it is slowing down, but at least I am losing. Men tend to lose faster than women anyway and on top of that you mentioned he had more to lose than you. Plus it is always easier to see someone else's accomplishments than our own. You are doing great! Keep it up and the weight will come off. :)
Girl you are doing great!!! Two things
1) go to Resources link above, click on "post OP planner, type in your starting weight and shoot for the sky, hit 100% excess weight lost. I checked you numbers (although I guessed your height at 5'5" avg.) and you are right on track!
2)Always think %'s, Again guessed your goal (well used my dream goal wt of 135 lbs, yours maybe diff) but just say it is, that means you have 84 lbs excess on SW day. So you have lost 22 lbs (divided into your 84lb potential excess) or 26% or 1/4 of your total excess wt in 6 weeks!!!! Wow!!! So on track!!! I doubt your husband could say that...
You go girl!!
I love the idea of looking at percentages vs pounds. It is very helpful when you start to worry it isn't coming off fast enough.
