Introducing myself
Hi! my name is Martha. I am scheduled for sleeve on June 9. I am pretty excited. My BMI is exactly 35 right now. My NUT told me I could not lose any more weight before the pre-surgery diet. I've never heard that one before! I have type 2 diabetes and high LDL cholesterol. I'm hoping that the surgery will resolve those issues.
A bit about me: I'm 54, married with a son in college. I like to quilt in my free time. I've been a yo-yo dieter all my life. I've been thinking about doing this for a long time.
Hi Martha and welcome. Congrats on your surgery. It will be here before you know it.
Use this time to decaf and decarb. Learn to take tiny bites and sips and stop drinking with meals. You will be very ready!!!
Let us know when you have questions!!!

Hi Martha, You'll hear that in hear a lot about the 35% BMI. We all had our own reasons why we chose to have WLS, comorbidities like yours, unsuccessful diets and regain. But ultimately you have made the decision and your dr supports it, and we feel that is your right!
Good luck as you travel this journey, its a fun ride!!!
Welcome aboard!
