SLURRY Gold
I know this is a little redundant, but the shakes have never been really easy for me. I finally got the hot protein coffee down about a mth ago, but unless I used my magic bullet the others were never really good.
But my norm pre WLS was ice coffee in the warmer mths so after yesterdays posts about the slurry working good for cold also, and a few others Id read about I decided to experiment. So this AM I made another slurry of chocolate protein powder with 1/4 cup warm water, added it to a cup of coffee from my keurig, added in some ice, some almond milk, some water until it was a color I liked and wow, it was soooooo good. Id have drunk this and been totally happy with it Pre-WLS.
I think im going to lose the magic bullet and try the slurry on all of my shakes. The bullet works ok, but the shakes often have so much air in them, I feel like im just drinking foam. Im curious how the mint cookie will be. Maybe tonight...
I finally got the mint cookie today and it was wonderful!! Hope you find it goes down easy!!

sorry didn't get on yesterday. But a slurry was a term I learned from my fellow lightweights, but I think I just understood it when I posted this. But really it just smooshing your protein with a small amt of water till there are no lumps. then adding the rest of your fluids, wether water milk or whatever. So basically no magic bullet, just a spoon.
I did the ice coffee again today and couldn't get over how good it was.
