Hello to all of our Lightweights!!!  If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!!   Besides my tool,  I count  Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!

WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!!   AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!!  THEY ARE ADDICTING!!  THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!!  THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.

Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD  CHOICES  during the Honeymoon Period.

I feel I need to repeat this:  I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!!  I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up.   It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!

Eating junk food on vacation added a couple of extra pounds to my scale.....those darn Oreo Cookies!  That's the one bad thing about having a kitchen in your hotel room.....food is readily available.

Maintenance:   6+ years out and started the new year right on target!!!

Breakfast:   80 Calorie Light & fit Greek Cherry Non Fat Yogurt

Snack:

Lunch:        2 Deli Meat and Cheese Wraps

Snack:        Canned Chicken Salad on 2 crackers..YUK

Dinner:       Cheeseburger

Snack:         Nature Valley Almond Crunch Bar--YUM!! (ONLY buy the Gluten Free)

Snack:        3 TB. of unpopped Popcorn   (didn't start this until I was on Maintenance)

I have no doubt you will drop those couple extra lbs. :)

Breakfast: Mint Matrix Shake (34 protein)

Snack: Tuna in pouch (13 protein)

Lunch:  Undecided... I brought leftover roast with me, but a salad from Wendy's with chili on it sounds good.  Problem is the beans in the chili adds a few more carbs, but still within my limit)

Dinner:  Going out, my boyfriend is going out of town for the weekend. :(  Not sure where we're going to dinner, but I'll order high protein and low carb as usual.

Snack:  May have another protein shake if my protein is low. (Dr. wants me to up it to 100 grams a day.)

Vitamins: On track

Water: On track

Exercise:  Probably not going to do it tonight, will want to spend time with my hunny.... but maybe when I get home after dinner. :)

I never worry about carbs like beans because they are so good for us.  I ate a small Wendy's Chili almost every single day before I got diagnosed with IC.  I need to try it again and see if I have any problems.

Sounds Great!!

That's Fantastic!!  I had terrible BM issues early out.  Some days I was miserable.  My IC meds seem to help with that issue...thank goodness.  Keep up the good work!!!

What do you do with the Quinoa?

I get the quinoa in a premade salad from Zoes Kitchen (a trendy fresh fastfood kinda place that sells good for you stuff ready made) any ways they have the quinoa in a salad with a vinagrete and some scallions, broccoli, & tomatoes.   Really yummy stuff and a 12 oz container lasts me a bunch of meals
