Eureka!
I think I finally stumbled on to my key for getting my liquids. Hot herbal tea first think in the morning and Nectar Lemon Tea (even clumpy). Thank you J Connel for the tip. I had tried different temperatures like everyone suggested but hadn't tried hot. It also makes me slow down and sip. Even as it cools I can still tolerate it better than plain water and water with Crystal Light. The doc mentioned that adding a little acidity to the water seems to help after surgery so maybe that's why the tea works. I'm going to try a little ho****er and lemon in a few days and see if that also helps. Thanks everyone for helping.
Carpe Diem!

I drink Lemon tea hot all winter. I use a 20 oz blender bottle with ho****er and a tube of crystal light, usually peach tea, heat that up then mix my lemon tea powder in warm water, and add it in. It doesn't clump or curdle unless you get it really hot. I did herb tea and unflavored protein early out. Hot was so much better than cold.
Great that you found a way you like and great you can get your protein and fluid in at once.

The key to getting it non-clumpy is use a small qty of warm water(tap is fine) ie @1/4 cupish, then add your protein. smoo**** till there is no more lumps with a spoon to make a slurry, then add your ho****er/tea/coffee (same thing with cold, use small amt of warm water first to make the slurry...repeat above). It won't curdle once it is in a liquid form.
Good luck
