Today I am 2 months post op! This month I have lost 10.4 pounds, and yes that .4 is important! :) It total since surgery I am down 27.4 pounds and since my first consult I am down 42.4. Weight loss has started slowing down, but 10 pounds a month is pretty awesome so I will take it. Plus, hopefully losing at an average pace will help with skin issues, though I won't mind if next months loss is more

I have finally started working out again, something I have missed for a long time. I use to exercise 3x a week for 1-1.5 hours. I have missed it. I have been starting and stopping for a few weeks now, but as of yesterday my MIL and I are working out together so I know I will stay motivated. I am pretty sore today, but I welcome it. As for surgery related things, I am still struggling with getting all of my water in everyday but have managed to get all my protein in on most days. I find the weekend the hardest. I am still struggling with some bowel issues so I am trying to push as much water as possible and am slowly getting it up there.

My incisions look great now and only a couple are noticeable, not that I will be showing my tummy off ;) Anyways- wanted to just give a quick update! I may take and post progress pics soon, if I can work up the courage to have them online!

You are doing great!  BTW - I always think the .2 or .4 is important!

To be down almost 30 lbs in 2 months is wonderful.  Look forward to seeing pics once you decide to post them.

Yep, at 2 months you should be getting the hang of this.  You are doing great!!!  Now you just keep on keeping on.  Get in your water and protein.  Are you doing some fiber (benefiber or miralax)?  I find I still do better, after 4 yrs and now eating most anything, with additional fiber.

GREAT JOB! Getting in all the water is a struggle. And at first all the protein as well. Use protein shakes as a way to help reach your goals. Remember they also count towards your liquid intake. A win win. As far as keeping the bowels moving, to this day I take a softener daily. They do not make you go but it will help and for some reason has been what has taken care of things for me. Best of luck to you and keep up the great work.

Jenna, youre doing great!  I also am down to losing about 10 lbs a mth. But I figure at this rate, inside of a year from WLS we will be at goal, and from what Ive read, that's right on target.

Me also On the BM issues if I don't take my Miralax.  Its funny I am tending towards an every 3rd day BM, and that tends to be the day I lose a lb, so you know I never miss the miralax on that day, lol.

I also am thinking of posting before & after pics.  I made it my goal (and reward) when I hit 50 lbs (wt loss so far & wt left to lose).  I watch my two tickers constantly and can't wait till Im over the hump and they reverse which number is higher.

Thank you all for your replies! It was nice getting on here today and reading them all, especially since my body has decided it doesn't like me today :) All part of the process but I am telling you all I hate the fluctuation part of losing weight. It seems like it is going to take forever to bust out of the 180s! But I know I will get there!

Anyways- thank you all again for your replies! I may just wait until I hit 50 pounds gone before posting a picture. I am still debating :) Right now I have a good body comparison from 2 weeks post op which is scary knowing that at that point I was already down about 10 pounds!
