Morning coffee time!
Good morning LW's!
So good to be home in a quiet house sipping my protein coffee. The dogs on my feet and the cat on the mouse pad. Crazy couple of days at work, glad for a day off!
Cool and cloudy here, been rainy, but at least I do not have to shovel rain. The crocuses have bloomed and now I can see the sunny head of my daffodils! Spring has arrived!
What a difference it has been to be back here with you guys to keep me on track. Not sure why I got lazy, or felt like I rebelled against my surgery. I am so grateful I still have restriction and that dense protein keeps me full.
Regain has been tough, especially emotionally, but being back on the boards help a lot. I wish my bariatric program had support meetings for people past their honey moon period. I am excited for the others at the beginning of the journey, but my issues now are much different than those post op.
Hence the gratitude of the LW's!
Love you guys!!!
Hope you all have a great day!

Its tough to eat great food and avoid regain... my new boyfriend eats ( when he eats ) like a picky little kid and is always struggling to GAIN weight so I cook a lot.. and then end up eating what he doesn't .. which means I never miss a meal gosh darn it .
The key I've found or both of us is cooking fat free or very light food at home - the lack of fat means he feels less satiated and so eats more and its better for his heart and blood pressure (he's a long term heavy smoker ) while its lighter calorically for me so I can get away with eating more volume or more often.
This time of year theres so much to do on the farm that physical activity is largely unavoidable - still I'd love to run and swim more . I'm thinking of taking a bodybuilder chick ( fitness pro and personal trainer ) up on her offer train together - she's ripped as all get out and has the defined amazing body I'd love for mine to look like . The other alternative is a boxing gym ... I'd love to be able to competently box my boyfriends ears when he acts up lol...
I don't feel like I have been eating much different the last week but my scale is headed back down. I think that is one of the frustrating parts of maintainence for me. I go up and down with not much clue why. I am happy it is going back down, needs to go more, but still not sure what I am doing differently.
I did my stress echo today. I was pleased because the RN said my work on the treadmill was equal to what a healthy 31 yr old could do. Not bad for a 66 yr old woman!!! We'll see what the rest of the report is once it gets read and reported but I certainly feel better about whatever it was that happened that night.
