how much did you lose the 1st month
Don't get discouraged!!! They pump you full of water for surgery and it takes a while to get rid of it. Plus you are swollen from the surgery. If you are following the program, you will lose. It is impossible not to. Remember that lightweights are going to lose as much as our heavier friends in terms of % of excess fat, but not pounds. They may lose 40 lbs the first month where we may lose 10, but it works out the same in terms of % of excess.
Be sure to take you measurements now if you haven't already. There will be times most likely that you lose inches, not pounds. Also, somewhere on this site, there is an estimator. You put in what you weigh and height and it extimates what you will lose each month. Even when I thought I was really losing slow, I was always ahead of the estimator and that was reassuring.
Hang in there, you have the rest of your life to lose and maintain. It is quite a ride.

What Price said. Try not to be discouraged. It took me until about week 6 to feel like I had the system down (getting in my protein, water and vitamins all in one day). I have been discouraged a lot in this process and I am just now looking back and looking at how far I've come. You can see my stats in my signature with my weight loss. :)
Keep working the sleeve and it will work for you! :)
I lost too much--over 30 lbs the first month. This was because I ended up very sick and back in the hospital for six days with a strep infection in a large abscess in my back. That's not how you want to do it :). I'm coming up on two months in a few days and am down 50 lbs since surgery. So I'm at about 50% EWL at two months. That's too fast.
In fact I saw my dietician a couple days ago and she told me to stop measuring and just eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. I was doubtful about that but I tried it yesterday...and my 11AM breakfast lasted until after 6PM lol. I'll try it for a week and see how it goes. Don't worry about how fast or slow you're losing compared to others. I think if you wanted to stop your loss or gain weight at this point you'd have to really dedicate yourself to it and do something like eat crackers and drin**** cream milkshakes all day every day :)
I have to agree with everyone else. Plus losing a lot in the first month does not mean the months after will follow. I did lose 17 pounds the first month, but this month has been pretty sucky on the weight loss front. I just keep reminding myself that my body is trying to play catch up. Also keep in mind if you lost a lot before surgery during your pre op it can also slow your loss down. Just keep working your program and it will work! :)
