Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!! I just colored my hair so I'm posting this without glasses. Hope it makes sense!!!
I don't have anything planned for meals other than starting out with a Protein drink, my daily Protein Bar and Popcorn. It's going to be in the high 70's today so I'm hoping Io get my rose bushes and mulch cleaned up. Then I have to start packing my summer clothes...YEAH!
Hope you ALL have an Awesome and Successful Day!!!!

Roz, I just had my hair highlighted this week. It always feels good with fresh color!
I feel strange posting on this thread since I'm just 5 days post-op and on full liquids, but like the accountability.
Breakfast: Protein HC (25g)
Lunch: 10 oz fish broth (6.5g)
Dinner: Isopure Zero Carb (20g)
Snack: Sugar-Free Popsicle
I'm on track to get 90 oz of liquids today. I'm happy!

I love it that you are posting!!!! I posted every day of my pre-op diet which I guarantee you wasn't exciting at all, and every day of all my phases.
I couldn't get Isopure past my lips so you are doing fine!! keep working on getting the protein up but hurray for the fluids because that is the most important right now.
Is your Dr one that doesn't believe in snacks? Some just want 3 meals and that is it. Early out (and even now at 4 yrs) my Dr believes in eating/drinking every couple of hours.

Thank you - I did feel odd but your encouragement makes me feel better about it. I actually really like the Isopure. I mix 10 oz of it with 10 oz of water and then add some of the Kool-Aid Drops to it. It's been one of my favorite protein drinks since October. I think diluting it with water and the added flavor makes a difference. I only like the grape flavor - I didn't enjoy the others.
My doctor's plan does include snacks once I move to pureed stages. Right now it's just getting in liquids - as much as possible. I can have yogurt or s/f pudding with protein powder too. They didn't give me specific meal times or instructions for this phase. When I move to pureed stages, they do have designated snack times but said if we don't feel like having snacks, we don't have to have them - so I think adding snacks or not is really up to each patient and how they feel.

We were also told to never eat if we weren't hungry. I remember not really feeling hungry, but empty, if that makes sense. But since it was all protein early out, to get your protein in, you didn't have much option but to eat/drink every few hours.

Hi Roz!
Beautiful day today here in Michigan. I got a LOT done! Picked up all the sticks/twigs (wow there was a LOT!). Got out the summer stuff from the shed (grill/gas and firepit). My motorcycle battery was dead so I had to swap that out (yea me - first time ever!), yes that took awhile. Went for a ride to make sure all was well. Picked up a container for Nicoles' deck for the kids' toys from Craigslist. Stopped at a garage sale and found the cutest doll house for the girls.
Eating today was on the back burner... fluids VERY low today too.
B - coffee
L - 1/3 of a leftover chicken parmesan
D - the other 1/3 of the leftover chicken parmesan
