Menus and Miles Sunday April 12th
Hello to all of our Lightweights!!! If you are visiting WELCOME....PLEASE JOIN US and POST!!!!! Besides my tool, I count Posting on the LW board as my #1 reason for being successful on this exciting journey!!!!
WARNING TO SELF AND TO ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN!!! AVOID 'BAD' CARBS AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY ARE ADDICTING!! THEY WILL SLOW DOWN YOUR WEIGHT LOSS DURING THE LOSING STAGE (and you won't even notice)!! THEY WILL MAKE THE SCALE GO UP AFTER THE HONEYMOON PERIOD IS OVER.
Success in Maintenance starts with GOOD CHOICES during the Honeymoon Period.
I feel I need to repeat this: I am a FIRM believer in Whey Protein Drinks!!!!! I have IC (Irritable Bladder Syndrome) and I can only have them occasionally while I'm having a flare up. It is sooooo much harder to do Maintenance without them!
Morning LW's!!!! It's a Beautiful Sunday morning here in W. PA. Trying to go Carbless today! Between Hospital food and the extra dessert my sister sent me for Easter Dinner my scales have moved in the wrong direction the last week. I am embarrassed to say I am a couple pounds out of my comfort range and seem to want to stick. I kindof lost control the last week.
Maintenance: 6+ years out and started the new year right on target!!!

Roz, don't beat yourself up for a couple of lbs. You would think hospitals would serve only healthy food but they don't. You have had a lot going on.
I've not posted here for over a week. I've been really busy at my temp job so don't have much time to surf the Net. I commented on a couple other boards and got reamed out by some that didn't agree with me. I had decided to stay way, but I enjoy this board and everyone is so nice here.
Eats today:
Cereal w/strawberries & milk
1/2 grilled cheese on whole wheat
Grilled burger; salad
Roadside lemonade mixed in water to sip all day - 2
Click w/almond milk

We try really hard to keep our LW board a positive no drama board. I quit reading other sites years ago.
Your menu seems really low in "good" Protein. How's your scales doing?

It's really pretty here too. I spent most of the day at a horse show scoring but got home in time to drive Teke. It's suppose to rain all week so I needed to sneak in a drive before the rain.
I am up too, from last weekend then had gone down a pound and this weekend popped me back up. I just don't do well when I am not in control of what I am eating. Really need to get with the program this week before these pounds get happy here.

I'm up a little again today (Monday). I've done good so far the last couple of days so I'm hoping it moves a little. I know I swell in the summer so I want to start the warm weather as low as I can go.
I'm glad you posted your cookies. They might not be the best choices but at least you are acknowledging that you had them.

I'm thinking you were probably right about the stress causing some of my pain. I forget that sometimes. DH is feeling a little better. We saw the Dr. today (Monday) and they don't want him to go back to wor****il next Monday.
Sounds Good!
