Thank you for your comments. You were around my age so, thats reassuring. I am so nervous. I was extremely excited in the beginning but I am becoming increasingly less as time goes on. I want so much to have more energy and back pain. I am 206 and told I will lose 40 to 60 pds. I have tiny frame so I hope it will make a huge difference to my heart. What similar issues did you have? Thank you.

I had high BP for years, 2 meds needed to control, leaky valves, sleep apnea, gurd, arthritis.  Now, no more CPAC or meds.  I am 4'11" and was 220.  Got down to 111 which was too small for my frame because I have a large frame.  Now 133, would love to be around 127.

My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner.

Thats a good regret! A whole new person you are! I have normally low blood pressure and that worries me. I have heard it might drop even lower. I am at 90/60 on a normal day.

Hi!

I had the exact stats as you, 208 at 5'2" with hypertension, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, sleep apnea.

VSG 1.5 yrs ago and I took off 65 pounds. Still battling the last 10. Good luck!

Hi, Do you have heart failure issues. What was your weight after pre-op diet? I have extremly low blood pressure…I have heard wls lowers Blood pressure…did that happen to you? 65 pds awesome! So you have no regrets?

No, no heart issues at all. Just a heart attack waiting to happen. I have absolutely NO regrets. It doesn't get easier after the "Honeymoon Period" but the VSG is definitely helpful if you follow your nutritional plan and stay away from the junk food that is easily digested(as opposed to dense protein, etc.)

Hello bonkers-1952 I am also high risk with lots of mass, chf, and an enlarged heart. I used to be on coumadin and that was most disastrous what with the monthly and all.

I am very proud of you because you are very brave enough to take steps to losing your excess. I myself am still very much afraid and have been contemplating wls for about 21/2 years now all the while of course gaining weight and putting strain on my 276 pound heart.

What is your injection fraction? Will your surgeon have your cardio and pulmo docs in the surgery room. Mine said she wanted them there just in case... I felt relieved but my nerves went way high!

Hi good questions, I don't know my injection fraction. What is mass? I will check re cardio and pulmo…what is pulmo lol. I am guessing lung function.

Do you have a date yet? What did they say about blood thinners and fluid intake? I am sooooo nervous as the date gets closer. Let me know how your journey unfolds…We can follow each other.
