talk to me about stalls
hi everyone! i'm wondering if any of you guys can share some experiences with me around weight loss stalls? i'm 3 months post, down almost 50 lbs, and have been yoyo-ing between the same two pounds (155-153) for the last month :(
calorie intake is between 600-800 per day, carbs 50g and under, protein btwn 90 and 120g, fluids btwn 80 and 100oz per day.
the only thing i changed in the last month is i started working out more (running every day, going to the gym 3x per week, etc).
what do you guys think? is a stall a normal part of the process? how do i get things moving again?
how did you guys break out of your stalls, if you had any?
xoox

I really wish I could. I had some slower months but found I lost no less than 5 pounds a month. I kept a daily track of my weight loss (yes, I was a scale *****!) and put it in a spreadsheet. When I felt I wasn't losing anything, I'd look back the past 30 days. Sometimes the beginning of the past 30 days was good (lost some weight) but the past 2.3 or 3 weeks wasn't. Then I'd lose a lb or 2, and the cycle continued.
But - unfortunately - I can't speak to real stalls. Sorry... Someone else will come on I'm sure and give their wisdom ;)

Stalls are so frustrating and depressing! I'm 6 weeks out down 34lbs since preop but I have been stuck at 186-184.5 for almost two weeks. I know its part of the journey but it's hard not to stabotage myself while I wait for more weight to come off. Sounds like you are following ur plan and doing great. I hear that's all we can do during a stall. So keep it up! :)
Sounds like you are doing great!!
I was one of the few that never stalled. Wish I knew why but the only thing I can figure is that I was religious about keeping my protein level up.
I did slow down when I started adding carbs in. I found if I ate the same calories but low carb, I kept losing. With carbs, I slowed way down.
